I used this antenna with a WRT54G router, to extend my coverage to a desktop with another Linksys wireless PCI card. The antenna makes absolutely no difference; it's no better than the stock antenna that comes on the WRT54G.

A note on the seller (DB Roth - New Jersey): the antenna arrived in a flimsy white plastic postal bag. I'm amazed it wasn't cracked. For the excessive shipping and handling charge on this item, I would have expected better (adaquate) packaging. If it was cracked/broken, the buyer would have to return the item (at their own expense). The seller obviously doesn't care about the condition of the product.

This item arrived as advertised. Installation was easy, fit was perfect. The signal strength I had BEFORE changing to the High Gain Antenna was stronger than AFTER. I took them off and put my originals back on. I would not buy this item again.

It took five weeks to receive the product but the company is based in Arizona according to Amazon and it doesn't help with my wireless connection to boost the signal to my laptop in another room down the hall. Very disappointed!

I installed antennas on Linksys WRT54G.
This antenna makes no difference. The original stock 4dbi antennas have exactly same signal strength, noise and quality as this ones.
Don't waste your money, the 9dbi is a false advertisement.

Tried these antenna on three different Linksys WRT54 routers. In all cases it greatly reduced signal strength. Not useable. Wasted money.

Sound product at a fair price.
I purchased 2 for use with a WRT54GL - my only qualm is that one offers slightly less resistance to rotation (ie it falls over a little more easily) than the other. Otherwise, build quality is sound and the connectors are of acceptable quality.
Definitely improved the range and sensitivity of the router. The router that has these antennae operates in a high traffic area (apartment building) and the signal still offers good range.
Would recommend this product to someone looking to upgrade their factory router antennae. Not a super high end product, but perfect for home or small business use and a great price.

I use this antenna for a 54g router to communicate with a 54g router reconfigured as a repeater. The two units are in different houses some 700 feet apart but still line of sight. Both units have the antennas. Works great.

Sure wish I'd have read the reviews before purchase as I usually do, but I just figured that an antenna was an antenna, and at this el-cheapo price, they'd either help or they wouldn't. Only one small problem: they do not fit on my WRT54G router. The threads ain't even close. Way to small.

One helpful thing though: While searching around trying to figure out where I went wrong, I came to find out that there's several different versions of the WRT54G series--some with different antenna thread sizes, and some that aren't removable at all! Unless he starts including a slew of adapters at the very least, there's no way this guy should be claiming the antennas fit on all of those router models. It simply isn't so.

The antennas did not come with any instructions on how to install it. I have a WRT54G

To make it worst when I wrote to the provider, they sent me and email saying that they were sorry, they can not give me any instructions on how to install it in the router. They suggest to contact Linksys could you belive it!

If some one figure out how to use it in this router I will appreciate the help
