5.0 out of 5 stars Cache Memory and Power Management, April 5, 2005
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 80486 System Architecture (3rd Edition) (Paperback)
The main focus of this book are on cache memory and power management. You will learn how they work in this book. Don't let the tittle stop you from reading this book. The principle of earlier processor is necessary to learn more advanced processor.

This book is not for absolute beginner, however. An understanding of 8086 to 386 Microprocessor is required before you can understand the material presented in this book. The first book of Mindshare PC System Architecture Series called "ISA System Architecture" provides more than enough background to read this book. Since this book is out of print, the publisher, Mindshare, decided to post the free PDF version on their website.
