Jelly jar yogurt?,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 81200 Ball 8oz Qc Jelly Jar 12/Pk
I bought these jelly jars because they're small enough for single servings of my homemade yogurt. (Big servings - 8 oz as opposed to the 4-6 oz you get at the supermarket) I make a lot of yogurt because we have a lot of yogurt eaters here, and I wanted to be able to store it all in the fridge, safely covered, and eliminate extra dishes. I also bought the plastic lids, and I'll be using the sealing lids that came with them for my next bout of making jelly and jam, using older jars that no longer have lids. (I'm notably stingy; nothing goes to waste around here! If we don't eat it, wear it or use it, it gets composted or otherwise recycled)
I especially like that they are glass, which I prefer for storing food when possible, and they're reasonably hard to break (unless you have concrete floors!) I use jars in all sizes, up to gallon, mainly for storing canned or dehydrated vegs, but I use these little ones the most. They are so versatile. I love these little jars for so many things - seasoning powders made from dehydrated, finely ground vegetables from my garden, exotic jams and jellies for us and for gifts (Kiwi preserves, anyone? genuine mint jelly from homegrown mint), dehydrated soup mixes for gifts...
