After breaking my other Viper remote control, I ordered this case. We were able to snap the components of the broken remote into the case and it worked perfectly! The only downside is that there is no metal keyring attachment, so we had to rig a clip to it in order to put on our keys.

PLEASE, before you order this - if you are ordering this because the black antenna cover is broken on your remote, and you have the V7701 SST remote, the replacement antenna cover that comes with this is TOO short. It is only for the remotes with the stubby antenna. However, if you only need the body, then you should be OK. I wasted my money on one of these because that fact WAS not pointed out in the description.

My original case was 4 years old. Dropped and cracked. I thought I had to buy an entire new remote for $150.00. Went to Best Buy and the car audio guy mentioned I may find it on the "Black" market. That's when I remembered my favorite site Amazon.com. The case is exactly what I needed at a fraction of the cost of a new remote. It's Perfect!

This case was great! It does state that it will work with 7701V, but you have to have your antenna tube because if you do not the antenna from the 7701V will not fit. Just FYI if you are trying to buy this case for a 7701V internals.

Shipped really quick and is exactly what i ordered. I lost the back to my old one and this one will be my spare parts fob.

I bought this case to replace the original one I grcieved when I first got my viper 5900 system. My case had been dropped so many times that it no longet stayed together without tape! I thought I was going to have to spend 200.00 for a replacement but while searching for one I came across this replacement case instead and I thought "Well there's nothing wrong with the insides so maybe I can just change the shell!" so I did and ended up saving myself almost $200!. The installation wasn't hard either! You just have to make sure that you put all the parts in their specific place before you snap the case closed. This includes your key ring attachment (from your orginal unit as this one doesn't come with one)!

I purchased this since my other one the antenna broke. It was a little difficult putting it back together but that's mostly on my part since the antenna slightly broke on the unit so getting it to fit and work in the replacement was difficult.

Either way it is working with no issues and the quality is great. It's a brand new case and couldn't be happier with the purchase.
