Head investigator Mitsukazu Hisago, investigator Mori Shimeki, his female Pomeranian Kobayashi-kun, and secretary Nagi Tsukumo have recently opened their detective agency. With little work and an abundance of time on their hands they indulge in typical office banter and politics. To pass the time they find themselves trying to come up with cool phrases to say once they corner their next culprit. The title comes from the fact that the investigators' last names in Chinese characters are 135 and 753, which add up to 888 - three eights.

The style of this manga was not something that instantly caught my eye, but this manga is really worth checking out. This first volume is jam-packed with story. The cases the trio undertakes are unusual and amusing. I found Nagi-chan to be especially cute, with her strange desire to be involved in a "passionate love affair."
