Caution If Swallowed...,
This review is from: 8in1 D.D.S. Dental Wipes, 90-Count (Grocery)
Our dog loves the flavor so much she swallowed a dental wipe whole. Within the hour, the emergency room vet induced vomiting and the wipe was regurgitated intact. Vet indicated the wipe might have caused blockage in a small dog had we waited longer than 1-1/2 to 2 hours to bring her in.

dental pads,
This review is from: 8in1 D.D.S. Dental Wipes, 90-Count (Grocery)
The pads are sort of small, it makes it had to wrap around a finger. Once in contact w/ dog saliva they get very slippery & hard to hang onto. But the dogs don't seem to mind the taste at all.

My Maltese hates to let you look at his teeth but he loves to let you clean his teeth with these dental wipes. He loves the flavor and licks them constantly as you are cleaning his teeth and lets you do it as long as you let him lick the pad. I bought him the tin of mints but couldn't get him to eat them so I am sticking to the pads. They are a good price as they are hard to find as not all places carry them.

My dogs hate having their teeth brushed, and these make it so much easier to keep their teeth clean.
You just clean the surface of their teeth and gums with one of the wipes. The main ingredient is Chlorhexidine Gluconate, which is a germicidal mouthwash used in humans as well, to treat things like Gingivitis. The solution on the pads smells minty. The dogs don't appear to mind the taste. My Boston Terrier tries to eat them. I was using a more expensive brand of dental wipes that I was ordering out of a catalog, so when I saw this brand here at Amazon, I was very happy. They are identical to the more expensive brand. I just noticed that the ingredients contain Carmine (Carmine is not a vegan ingredient).

These are exactly like Stridex zit pads, if you've ever used those. The only difference is, these have peppermint chemical scented teeth-cleaning juice on them instead of zit solution. All three of my dogs shy away from the smell when I open the container, and they don't like it when I try and use these on their teeth. They don't like the taste or the smell. All 3 dogs are OK (and sometimes eager) with manual brushing with a CET meat flavored toothpaste, and I thought these would be a time saving alternative to that. It doesn't seem to make much difference on their teeth and it definitely doesn't do anything for canine halitosis. Waste of my ten bucks.

Part of our poodles dental program!! They are working and we have only been using them for a few weeks! We decided these would be easier to use in her small mouth than a toothbrush would. Of course, we have to give her a treat after wiping, but each day, she lets us clean a bit more and we can already see the difference on her back gums.

I wish that my dog liked these. However, I think the flavor is too strong because he won't let me get anywhere near him when I open the container up. They have this peppermint smell. I am not sure why this company did not opt for a meat flavored dental wipe.
The concept of these is great. I really wish my dog wold use them. Although I can see why people with bigger dogs might not be so happy as the pads are very small. For now I;d save m money and use a doggie brush and some doggie toothpaste.

Dogs love it,
This review is from: 8in1 D.D.S. Dental Wipes, 90-Count (Grocery)
I've tried mini toothbrushes and my dogs do not like plastic objects stuck in their mouths. Frankly, I don't either. I'd rather see a dentist use this on me. The dogs loves to lick the pad. Get them to do that so they can get used to the taste. After that cleaning their teeth will be much easier. The only thing I worry about is how long this will last. I use it on two dogs every other day.

Easier than the Toothbrush,

I love dental wipes and my dogs prefer it to standard brushing. My oldest "girl" has very tender gums and is missing some teeth. Her gums bleed quite a bit so she resists brushing. When I use wipes she thinks I'm pampering her. I still brush as well, but this is a great easy alternative.

My dogs used to not mind teeth cleaning (I previously used the Nutri-Vet Enzymatic Chicken Flavored Canine Toothpaste). I wanted to try the DDS Dental Wipes because it sounded promising. Although it makes it easier to clean their teeth, my dogs detest the smell and taste. Every time they see me with the container, they run and hide. They never reacted this way with their previous toothpaste.
