5.0 out of 5 stars great backyard pool for the younger school age child
This is a great inflatable backyard pool for elementary school kids. It is deeper than it looks, so they can swim, snorkle or float in a small space. Have your repair stuff ready because it is likely to be punctured. Still, most pools of this width are very shallow so this pool stands out. This is a great pool! We have not had any problems with its durability. It holds water great and has a nice inflatable bottom so the floor of the pool is cushioned. Our boys (5yrs. & 3 yrs.) like to "dive" and snorkle in the pool. There is plenty of room for 4 young children to swim in it.

I bought this pool for my little boy with such high hopes...and it has been a complete disaster from day one. The following is a detailed account of my experience:

I set up the pool on a ground tarp in an area of my backyard that was reasonably flat, although probably not perfectly level. It seemed to work out fine, but the next day I noticed that the pool was very lopsided. It was leaning heavily to one side and slopping water out all over the yard. It also appeared to have lost some of its air. I thought the problem could probably be solved if the ground surface was leveled out to some degree. I drained the pool and make a level surface with some plywood and I added extra support beneath it on the side that the pool had been leaning towards. I laid the ground tarp over this and set the pool up again. I had to partially reinflate it to compensate for the lost air, but there didn't appear to be any leaks. I refilled it and the problem appeared to be fixed...we used it the next day. At that time, I did notice one new problem...but I thought it was purely cosmetic: one part of the pool's side was bulging and, upon inspection, I discovered that the reason for this was because one of the colored support "flags" had detached inside of the side of the pool. (If you look at the picture of the pool, this might make a little more sense. The inflatable sides are constructed of transparent vinyl; and the support "flags" are the pink, orange, yellow, and green vinyl strips that are attached to the inner aspects of the transparent vinyl.) However, the bulging didn't appear to effect the pool's function; it was holding water and there didn't seem to be any leaks. Everything seemed to be working fine then.

The next day passed without event. We didn't have the chance to use the pool because it was raining.

The following day, we decided to go for another swim, but as soon as I stepped out back I knew there was a problem. The air leakage problem had obviously returned because the pool's sides appeared to have shrunk and the whole thing had a withered-looking appearance. I could also hear running water and a bubbling sound. Upon inspection, I discovered a leak in the pool's side near the surface of the water. The bubbling sound was air leaking into the water, and the running water I heard was the pool contents slopping over the deflating sides. So I drained some more of the water in order to apply a patch over the hole near the water's surface. (What caused the leak was a mystery, because nobody had even used it for the previous day and a half!) By the time I completed the repair, it was getting dark, so I decided to wait until morning to reinflate and refill the pool...AGAIN.

In the morning, I went outside to finish the task and the pool was almost EMPTY of water! It had also deflated even more during the night. And it wasn't the leak from the previous day, as the patch had held up just fine. The pool had obviously sprung other spontanious leaks. It's currently sitting outside, almost totally deflated. And there it will stay until trash day. Quite honestly, I think the box the pool came in is probably more capable of holding water than this pool is. And the box is probably more worth more money than the pool, too. Please don't waste your money or your time on this pool. If you really want to disappoint your kids, there's probably less costly ways to do so!

I purchased pool for my two kids and they love it. Pool holds up to 80% of wall height which is great. The only thing I don't like is it does not have a pool cover. I have to drain and refill the pool daily which is wasteful and costly. Overall it is a nice pool, but next time I will purchase one that has a pool cover.

We've had this pool for three weeks and we love it. We have not had any maintenance issues. We've put a small play structure next to it so the kids can slide into the pool - it's great. We love the inflatable bottom. Great pool...nice size. We have had multiple kids or 2 adults, 2 kids in it with plenty of room.

The first day we used this pool, my husband had to patch 5 holes. The vinyl on this pool is very thin and does not hold up. We have two daughters who played in this pool, ages 5 yrs and 20 months. I will never buy a product like this on again...

We love our new pool! It is especially nice with the inflatable floor. The clear sides also add light to your pool and you don't feel enclosed at all. Durable for kids. Perfect size for an adult to sit/lay in with multiple children (I have two children 4yrs and 2yrs old). I would recommend this pool to anyone.

This pool has a blow up bottom to it which really makes a difference

when you have small children in it.

It really cushions the falls and bumps in the pool.

I use this on a wood deck which is really hard, and the cushioned bottom is perfect.

Easy to blow up with a leaf blower or shop vac and deflates easily as well.

I UNFORTUNATELY NEEDED TO BUY A POOL VERY QUICKLY AND DID NOT READ REVIEWS UNTIL AFTER WE INFLATED IT AND NOTICED THERE IS NO DRAIN. IS THIS AMAZONS FAULT FOR FALSE ADVERTISEMENT? I WOULD HAVE NEVER PAID 45 DOLLARS FOR A POOL THAT I HAD TO DEFLATE EVERY NIGHT TO REMOVE THE WATER. HAS ANYONE GOTTEN A REFUND OR FIGURED OUT A WAY TO DRAIN POOL WITHOUT DEFLATING.

I READ EVERY DESCRIPTION TO MAKE SURE TO PICK A POOL WITH A DRAIN AND AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY PURCHASE AND CLEARLY FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ON AMAZONS AND CMS'S BEHALF.

We used this pool many times over the summer without a single hole. It's big enough that I was able to get in it with my two little ones (although I usually preferred to watch). I really like that the floor inflates as well as the sides so you are not sitting on the lumpy grass. My one complaint is that there is a ring around the edge of the floor that does not inflate, about four inches wide, and this area can be hard to rinse out.
