I bought this album mainly for the big hits on it like All Star and One Headlight and Closing Time. The more B-side tracks like Blood Makes Noise are more of an annoyance than entertainment. Still the hits outweigh the misses and the MP3's were worth buying at the discounted price. Not worth full price but the quality of tracks make it a worthwhile 90's flashback.

I was in high school and college when this music came out. There are some staple songs here that belong on every 90's compilation disc. Some of these songs ("Break it Down Again" - Tears for Fears and "Blood Makes Noise" - Suzanne Vega) are new to me. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones "The Impression that I Get" is shortened. It's shorter than the version I occasionally hear on the radio. It's a minor drawback since I'm going to have to buy the full length version of that song later. It is missing lots of 90's bands like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Soul Asylum, Alice in Chains, Len, Sister Hazel, Eve 6, Eagle Eye Cherry, Marcy Playground, Republica, Blind Melon, but I'm not sure they all had number ones. There are better compilations like "Now That's What I Call the 90's" or "Casey Kasem: 90s Rocks Greatest Hits." This album gives you a taste of 90's fare, but it's not the full ride.

This group of songs included many i knew and loved along with a few I was less familiar with. Certainly nice to pick them up as a collection over buying each song individually or going the old fashion route and picking up each individual album/CD.

Excellent compilation, good cross section of some of the bands and songs that represent the 90's. Having not paid much attention to music during this time, this album helped me catch up and open news social horizons for me.

I was very young during the 90s but I have an affinity for 90s music. It has some pretty good songs for the most part. There are a few songs that I could live without. Other than that it's a solid collection of songs. There are bands you may not have heard of and this isn't the standard 90s alternative rock like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. These are some of the B-listers who didn't make it as big. Still the songs are worth the listen if you share an affinity and love of 90s music.

90s rock mostly suck. A few exceptions with Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, and Nirvana, but you won't find any of that in this collection. Overall it's pretty weak- lock elsewhere for quality 90s rock.

Not a bad compilation CD, but ok definately wish there were a few of the songs left off and replaced with better songs, but oh well.
