A DISAPPOINTMENT,
By A Customer
We recently bought this toy for our son who is 6 months old after seeing the commercials. It is a cute idea but needs some improvements. First, Pooh's voice is very unclear and hard to understand. Second, the child's rattle needs to be shook vigorously in order to get the toy to work. The rattle needs to be at a certain proximatly and angle to get the toy to respond. Even my husband and myself have had difficulty getting it to work. Also, the toy needs to be pushed in the stomach to get started. We have found that we need to do this for our son. He is still too little to know how to do that on his own, even though it says it is for his age. Our son prefers to just play with the rattle itself and doesn't really seem interested in the stuffed toy. Maybe he will become more interested as he gets older. I would recommend saving your money on a toy that is more educational and of a better quality.

NOT AS CUTE AS THE COMMERCIAL,

We saw the commercial for this toy and immediatly wanted to get it for our son who is 6 months. After unwrapping it, which took quite a while due to the packaging we were somewhat disappointed. In order to get Pooh to dance etc. the baby's rattle needs to be very close to the toy. The baby also needs to "really" shake his rattle quite vigorously to get Pooh to work. The toy itself is cute but smaller than imaged in the commercial. One other drawback..... to get the toy to start his tummy has to be pushed. We find that we need to do that for our son. The dancing and music captures my son's attention. Unfortunatly, Pooh's voice is very distorted and hard even for adults to understand. This was a very good idea for a toy but could use some improvements.

Our son loves this toy! It is so funny to watch Pooh 'wiggle around' when the baby shakes the rattle - our son laughs and smiles and his voice will actually activate Pooh's wiggling, so he laughs that much harder!! A great gift - Magic Rattle Pooh is definitely entertaining!

My son loves his Pooh Bear,

I bought this for my son's 1st birthday and 3 months later he still loves it. The rattle doesn't have to be in front of Pooh's rattle it just has to be loud enough. If you have other noise in the room the sound sensor doesn't respond as well. Pooh sings and shakes even without the rattle when there is a loud noise. My son discovered that if he squealed loudly Pooh would shake and sing. It's very durable as the rattle has been tossed many times and hasn't broken. We haven't had any problems with sound quality diminishing although I'm sure we will when the batteries start dying. This is a favorite in our house. I would recommend this toy.

Yall, I am just cracking up at how you say that you can't understand what Pooh is saying. It says on the box "Pooh babbles in words that only a toddler can understand". Understand??LOL

Unlike the last review we found ours to be easy to operate no matter that angle, and from across the room. The pooh bear rattle seems to be sensitive to any movement. My 8 month old figured it out very quickly. It does tend to turn it self "off" by it self and the tummy has to be pushed to restart after my son hasn't played with it in a while. We like the toy!

I had looked at this particular toy for some time before finally breaking down and purchasing it for my (then) 5 1/2 month old daughter. I always like to "show her" the toys in the store to get a general reaction from her, she loved it right from the get-go. Funny when she was born I said, "Absolutely NO Pooh in this house" and now she has the car seat/stroller combo, bouncer, swing, and just about every pooh imaginable. This toy is one of her favorites because she can do that high pitch squeal kids love to do (to drive us Mom and Dad's nuts), and Pooh will start playing music and beeboppin'. A+

We bought Magic Rattle Pooh for our then 8 month old baby, cause it was so cute on TV. We were so disapointed. You shake the rattle and nothing. On TV the baby shook the rattle and pooh started to sing, doesnt work that way at all. You have to shake the rattle directly in front of Pooh, while holding him up. And still it isn't the same. What a waste of money.

I bought this toy for my son when he was about 6 months. It looked like a great toy for my son to interact with. First my son has maybe spent only about 4 hours with this toy and he is almost a year now. It has to be started by pushing on pooh's tummy and then is almost impossible to make it dance with a rattle. My son does however love the rattle but I could have gotten a rattle for a few dollars.

this Pooh doesn't stink,

after seeing this toy on the TV we had to have it. In contrast to some of the other reviews we found ours to be very easy to get to move with and without the rattle. As Pooh doesn't respond to movements of the rattle as first thought, but the sound, we found he will also move from any high pitched squeaky toy and even a childs voice. it works from about 270 degrees, with only a small dead spot directly behind the toy and will work from across the room most of the time. Our 8 month old figured how it works in only a few minutes and seems to really like to get him to talk and dance. So far we are very pleased with this toy and only hope a Tigger is soon to follow.
