California, and perhaps other states, are outlawing these bulbs so stock up now. GE makes great light bulbs. In general, the Compact Fluorescent lamps that the government wants you to use put out light that makes people look ghastly and they also present an environmental hazard. The CF bulbs contain mercury in very small amounts. However, that amount is toxic.

When you look and re look at this product listing you see GE 12-Pack. Well, when you order you get only one bulb. Don't be fooled like I was. If it sounds too good to be true, these individual bulbs run $2.99 at our local stores, then it is. Little disappointed that Amazon would allow this blatant product miss representation. Spent almost $9 for a $3 bulb--ordering one gets you a single bulb not 12 pack. BEWARE.

Vendor sent the lightbulbs very quickly and they arrived in good condition. All were securely packaged. Thanks for sending them so fast.

I bought these two of these bulbs in early December for a 3-way floor lamp. The first one has already failed less than 4 months later, the only way that could use the 1200 hours of life is if I used the lamp for 10 hours a day...which was not the case. I have installed the second bulb and will be keeping very close track of the hours it works.

GE Soft White 3-Way Light Bulbs are perfect for any "three-way" lamp in your household that needs a light bulb that can be adjusted to low, medium or high strength. (That's 50, 100 or 150 watts.)

Each bulb lasts just about 1,200 hours--very good!

Insert a new light bulb into the socket of the lamp (or whatever needs the light bulb) and screw it in until you feel that the bulb is snug and secure in the socket. Then turn on the lamp or whatever device you're using and--voilà! Your bulb works for the next 1,200 hours. That can be months if you're careful with your energy bill.

The bulbs stay fresh for several months at least after you buy them; this is a great feature if you need to stock up on light bulbs for any reason. Obviously, these electric light bulbs must never go near water and or any other liquid. Dispose of them carefully so that any glass won't break and hurt anyone if they walk around barefoot in the house. If you have any additional questions, you should be able to go to the GE website for information or a way to contact the company directly.

Overall, these "three-way" 50/100/150 watt light bulbs by GE fit the bill very nicely. They are economical, easy to install and remove and they stay "fresh" for months after you purchase them. They take up very little room in any closet while you're waiting to use them, too.

I highly recommend these light bulbs for any lamp or light fixture that uses bulbs of three strengths.

This gave me the impression that I was buying 12 light bulbs. A great value for the price. In reality, it is a single light bulb. Who orders a single light bulb for $6+? I was VERY disappointed when I opened the package.

Bought these to replace 3-way CFLs that I bought locally at a supermarket. They didn't work as 3-ways, so I returned them to the store for a refund and purchased these from Amazon. So far they work as I expected incandescent light bulbs to work.

I ordered this bulb with a floor lamp. The way it was stated they would be shipped together; however, the bulb (1.97) was shipped separately and I was charged $6.00 in shipping. I could have bought 3 more bulbs for that. I had feedback and removed it with a promise from this company that they would refund my shipping. I have yet to see it and that was a couple weeks ago. So I'm posting again and will not remove. I'm out $6 regardless it seems. Broken promises.
