From the Manufacturer

GE 97495 Bug Lite A19 60-Watt 2-Pack, 24-Pack 97495 – 60A/Y-2PK GE Bug Lite A19protect and beautify your home * Designed with a unique all-weather construction, they withstand harsh weather conditions better than regular Bulb s. * Special coating makes light invisible to bugs, so they stay away! Bulb A19 Base: Medium Screw (E26), Wattage: 60 Voltage 120 Initial Lumens 550, Rated Life: 1000 hours, Product Code: 97495, Description: 60A/Y-2PK, UPC: 043168904025 . The Primary Application: Bug Light . GE incandescent lamps represents the state of the art of lamps for residential and commercial use, as well as special purpose lamps for decorative or display applications. In an incandescent lamp, light is generated by heating the filament to incandescence. The hotter the filament, the more efficient it is in converting electricity to light. However, when the filament operates hotter, its life is shortened so the design of each lamp is a balance between efficiency and life. This is why lamps of equal wattage may have different lumen ratings and different life ratings. Incandescent lamps of similar size are commonly available with different wattage ratings. The fixture wattage limit should not be exceeded.

This review is from: GE 97495 Bug Lite A19 Bulb, 60-Watt, 2-Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
Our exterminator recommended these because we had Black Widow spiders building webs on our front porch. He said that the spiders were attracted to the moths that were flocking to the bright white light. Well he was 100% right. The first night we had this bulb in...no moths. Now there are no more moths trying to fly in at night and we have not seen any more Black Widows or any spiders for that matter.
