Wrong description,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: GE 97612 26-Watt Dimmable CFL Plug-In Double Biax Ecolux T4 Light Bulb, 1-Pack (Tools & Home Improvement)
I ordered the GE 97612 F26DBX/835/ECO4P bulbs because that is what our electrician had installed in our kitchen. The color of the light matches the others perfectly. However, I have had 3 of the originals burn out after 2 years. So much for 5 or 7 year life projections on fluorescent bulbs. Also, in the Amazon description of the product, they say it is a 97610 which is not correct. The color temperature of a 97610 is 2700K, whereas in that same description, they say it is 3500K. I'm not even sure that is correct. It might be 4100K because it is quite white. The box for the bulb does not say at all what the color temperature is. I wanted to get several as spares, but was limited to 3 bulbs in a shipment. I don't know why unless there is some law limiting the size of shipments with chemical hazards (the mercury in the bulb). I don't use the dimmable part on the bulb, just wanted to match what is installed.
