JET 98-2202 Infeed/Outfeed Sanding Support Table for 22-44 Plus Only

I gave these support tables a rate of five because their heavy-duty, easy to install and easy to get parallel with Sander table.
On the next version I would probably make them fold up like a lunchbox planer. ;)

This is a "must have" accessory if you plan on finish sanding long objects. BUT make sure you are purchasing the extenstions for YOUR Performax. Amazon's description is misleading which caused me to purchase the wrong item. A call to Performax cleared things up and Amazon was great about my returning the wrong item. (That's one of the reason I don't buy anything without FIRST checking with Amazon). It took only 30 minutes to install these heavy duty extenstions. It's basically fool proof. The extenstions do require more space in my cramped shop, but it's worth it for the peace of mind of having a clean smooth sanded surface.

Great product, but it should really come standard with the sander as it pretty much mandatory.

These are the compliment to the 22-44 sander. It would be a real hassle trying to feed long pieces into the sander or waiting for the out-feed. Well made, and worth every penny!

These extension tables are very helful if running stock longer than 3 or 4 feet long. I would agree that these should have come with the sander in the first place. Easy to install, just a bit tricky getting the first bolt started underneath the power feed table but not bad. A 9/16" socket on a long extension made it relatively easy. Then place the table on top of the arms and start the small carriage bolts. I placed 2 pieces of stock that was jointed on one edge and ripped to 2 inches wide placing on at each edge of the powerfeed table and extension tables. Lower the sanding head untill the pressure rollers are holding the stock firmly (dont go to far) to the powerfeed table. then gently clamp the extension table to the stock on both edges and both tables and tighten the carriage bolts with a 7/16" wrench. Everything is aligned.

The only thing that would make this porduct better would be to have the table flip up for storage. Or have a roller on the outer end of the arms that would allow the short stock to be sanded or flipped down for longer stock. This would be useful in a smaller shop where space would be a premium.

I would recommend this for use with the Jet 22-44 (or Performax 22-44) especially if running longer stock
