Editorial Reviews

We are proud to present Volume 9 of Seattle's 98.9 Smooth Jazz KWJZ CD Sampler. Each year we bring a mix of music that is typical of the songs aired on 98.9 FM, featuring artists that represent our genre of music and bring a relaxing and enjoyable experience to our listener. This year we’ve assembled 12 world-class artists for our benefit fundraising project.

The funds raised from this CD will go directly to The Jackson Street Music Program, named in honor of the famed historical Seattle music district that flourished from the 30’s through the 50’s. The Jackson Street district’s abundance of talent helped influence such great artists as: Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Jimi Hendrix and many others who have shared their talents around the world. The program's goal is to inspire youth's creativity as well as their social and cultural productivity by promoting life skills and creative thinking through the art of music. The Jackson Street Music Program is located at The Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center and administered by the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center Advisory Council.

Our thanks go to all the people who worked so hard and helped make this project a success, the artists who gave us permission to present their music in the compilation, and to all the loyal listeners of 98.9 Smooth Jazz KWJZ.

This review is from: 98.9 Smooth Jazz KWJZ CD Sampler Volume 9 (Audio CD)
I thought for $66 bucks I'd be receiving 6 to 10 CD's. It is only one but Amazon does not tell you this. It does say that it is a benefit CD? Whose benefiting from charging the extra $50 bucks the agent selling it? This is a scam!!!
