I love the squeeze bottle ... the aerosol bottle just sprays everywhere and is harder to control quantity and where it hits. It also seems harder to judge when you have applied to much, or too little.

With the squeeze bottle, you simply apply an even amount along the ridges on both sides of the filter and allow time for the oil to soak down into the fibers of the filter.

This way, you can start with a smaller amount and if it isn't enough to "soak to the middle" you know you need more, and can judge how much more based on how much you applied the first time and how much white space is left. After time, you start to get a good feel for the amount of oil needed to re-oil the filter.

K&N filters are also specifically distributed with a spec sheet showing the amount of oil needed, and this information can also be viewed on the K&N website. For instance, my car's filter requires 1.24oz of oil to re-oil the filter.

With the squeeze bottle it is very easy to determine how much oil has been applied - it's just liquid in a bottle and there is a gauge so you can see how much oil is in the bottle when you start, how much is left as you work, and therefor how close you have come to the K&N recommended amount of oil for a proper re-oiling job. With the spray can, knowing how much oil you have dispersed is difficult if not impossible.

I clean my filter every 15k miles and I am still on my first kit that i have had for well over a year. It does a great job and the filter looks brand new sfter you have completed the clenaing process. Pays off for itself in no time. I would recomend to anyone!

This is a "must have" for any K&N filter or CIA kit. I even use K&N's kits for other "wet" air filters. If you want to getthe full life out of your K&N, this kit is a must-have. Remember to follow the instructions so as to not harm the filter element when cleaning.

Keep your filter clean and it will be easier/faster to clean. The squeeze bottle is accurate and efficient.

I got my K&N filter with my car and it had been a while since cleaned so it took me three washes to get it as clean as I felt I could get it. I have a 1995 Honda Accord using Filter 33-2071.

My washing and drying process took a while, but after that the re-oiling went surprisingly quick. I really considered going with the aerosol but opted for the squeeze bottle instead. It was accurate and easy to apply, a small consistent bead across the ribs and I was done fairly quick, I used the recommended guidelines for oil quantity and I got it right the first time.

I think it is a good value too, you get many uses out of the kit.

Clean your filter with this kit. The spray is the cleaner and does a great job in just 10 minutes. The oil will be applied to each of the ridges of the filter and you have about 4 filter oilings in the bottle. The shipping was fast.

I have owned many K&N filters over the years. Don't event think about purchasing a filter without the cleaner kit. Go ahead an get it when you buy the filter; that will be one fewer excuse you have when it's time to do filter maintenance.

This is the first time I cleaned my K&N filter. This kit made it a snap. Easy to follow directions and when you are done the filter looks just like it did when you first pulled it out of it's box! I couldn't be happier with the results, I really liked how easy the squeeze bottle was to use. I've never used the spray so I can't compare, but I can't imagine it being any easier. If your filter looks dirty get this kit and clean it, you will be surprised at how much dirt you will clean out!

On a side note, if/when you do this plan on at least an hour to do the cleaning. There are three steps and after each one it recommends you let it sit for about 15-20 minutes or until dry/absorbed/etc.

I'm not sure what is special about the detergent or the oil, but the cleaning and re-oiling kit works as promised. I clean and re-oil my K&N filters only about every 10K miles, but could go longer I think. I like knowing my engine is not starving for air so don't let it go longer.

This kit has a spray on cleaner -- which worked fine.
but the oil is in a sqeeze bottle -- took forever to apply. Next time I will get the kit or oil with the spray/aerosol bottle.
