Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Readers of 99 Reasons to Hate Cats will accuse me of not actually hating cats. Ok, you got me. But others go as far as saying I like or even love them. That allegation I will strongly deny even if I happen to be married to you.

With a title such as "99 Reasons to HATE Cats," you might think the market for this humorous little book would be limited to members of the local kennel club or their canine friends. Instead, it's something for anybody with strong feelings about cats. Even if you love them as much as I do, you'll find yourself grinning at the minor irritations that come from life with our feline friends. It's well worth the paltry $2.99. That's less than most drinks at Starbucks and it'll stay with you considerably longer. I highly recommend it.

Also, I'd like to point out that you don't need to own Kindle hardware to read the book. You can download software for most computers and smartphones from Amazon. If you prefer, you can even read it in your web browser. It's really easy.

A joyful reminder of why we shouldn't share our homes with cats but why we always will. The author must have an incredibly loving wife!

As a cat-lover, I was happy to see this one show up as a free title a while back. On the plus side, it is a quick read. On the negative, it is mostly lame one-liners with poor illustrations. Some of the "reasons" repeat with different words and some of them are reasons to love your cats, not hate them. It's just not funny enough to get past the title.

There are indeed many reasons to hate cats. But somehow we love them anyhow. This short book of cartoon cat "hate" is adorable.

I love any books that are about cats . I have three of my own. I'd be lost without them.

I'm an animal lover by nature but cats are the one animal I couldn't live without being in my life! This book had my daughter and I cracking up at every page, everything written about cats is so true it had my belly aching! It's true for any cat lover, these are the reasons we love to hate our cats!! An absolute must buy unless you actually do despise cats then buy it anyway because at least then you'll feel like you've got somebody with legitimate reasons on your feelings about cats! Lol! :)

Loved the book. Had difficulty reading it on Amazon's Cloud Reader because it splits up the pages in such a way that the text for one graphic appears with the previous page's graphic. So you see a picture that was explained on the last page, and read a line that explains the next page. Makes for far too much backward-forward flipping. Perhaps on a Kindle this looks better. I'm just sharing my experience.
Women DO think cats are people (reason 17). Ha!
