Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 9mm Parabellum: The History & Development of the Worlds 9mm Pistols & Ammunition (Schiffer Military History) (Hardcover)
A big, beautiful, well bound book: lovely endpapers, thick, slick pages, and excellent black and white pictures.

The book was translated by someone not familiar with English firearms nomenclature. The "frame" is frequently called the "grip" and the "disconnector" is called the "interrupter". Regarding the CZ 75: "The slim slide is guided inside the grip for its entire length." Yet with the SIG P-210, the word "frame" is used: "the slide is not guided from outside the frame but from the inside." What?

Sentences are frequently awkward, missing words, and improperly constructed.
They are sometimes so jumbled that it is impossible to understand them. Occasional misspelling also is disconcerting.

The Korth revolver is extolled beyond belief. However the "button" (lever) to unlatch the cylinder is located beside the hammer. Being different sometimes means being inconvenient. How fast will it shoot compared with a Smith and
Wesson

In spite of this criticism, I gave this book a four star rating. It is worth reading and covers the subject well.
