Forging a rootsy sound that wasn't quite rock or country - "Hank Williams on speed" somebody once ... Read more in Amazon's Jayhawks Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little sampler! October 16, 2000

The Jayhawks. A band America SHOULD know about, but for whatever reason, they aren't very well known. It's sad, really, because there's SO MUCH "crummy" music out there, a REAL band, with REAL songs exists in relative obscurity.
This is a GREAT sampler. The album track is one of my favs of all time, and the 'Hawks sound AWESOME on the live tracks!
I highly recommend this disc!
