I do like this story, althought it's simple. Jimmy did a good job in describing an usual life in unusaul way. Just like those who live in a big city, we don't even have a chance to know or to talk to someone we meet everyday, on bus or even in the same apartment.
I am happy that Jimmy got the chance to introduce his masterpiece to the world. Also, I wish that we can get the chance to read all his other books in English version.

Usually, people can "read" more from pictures than jsut from text. Jimmy's artwork is the typical example for this "reading habit". While people are trying to tell the difference from signify and signified, Jimmy's book breaks it all.
Wonderful artwork, beautiful story, reasonable logic. Mostly, readers can hardly distinquish the nationality differentiality. Isn't that great?
However, for most readers who are not familiar with this book, I suggest strongly, it'd be better to have this book's front cover on this page. Some short introductions even better. That helps a lot.

As reviewed by others, this is a warm, sweet and truthful book about living in the city and searching for love.
I personally think that it shouldn't be calssified as a children reading material
as children of age 13 and below would probably find it difficult to understand
the messages behind the story and poems.
This is a book that looks simple,
but it has so much more to tell.

The story isn't only a story. It does happen in our life. Like what it says in the book, "we all live in the same city, but we never get a chance to know each other." Through Jimmy's smooth words, this book really touches the slightest part of our hearts. Read it! You'll fall in love with 'A Chance of Sunshine.'

A Chance of Sunshine is one my favorite books. It depicts our encountering in life. Though we have different ways, backgrounds,... destiny will lead us to our other-halves. When first I read this book at a bookstore in Taiwan, I was touched by the romance of this young man-woman, They have contrast habit, one likes to walk towards right, another towards left. One day they meet, yet got separated. Unable to stay longer in their cold room, they decide to leave. Destiny leads them to be together once again. After got thorough with this book, I realize life is so beautiful. If you want to be touched too, read it.

I like Jimmy's book a lot! His picture books are usually simple but very thought-provoking. In "A Chance of Sunshine," there are so many good sentences that make you smile and feel good for the whole day! I gave this book (with a CD that is specially designed for this book, the CD is sold in Taiwan only) to two of my friends, they all enjoy it very much!
I am very happy that there is an English version of this book (very nicely translated!). I hope all Jimmy's book can be translated into English!

This book has a wonderful Chinese title, very zen-like; if it has been translated to English faithfully, it would be "Left turn, right turn" or "Turn to the left, turn to the right". I feel that it is a terrible mistake that the publisher has chosen not to be faithful to its creator. Who knows what came to their mind? The beauty in this book is in its subtle way to describe writer's thoughts and sentiments. This English title has ruined it completely. One thing we must all remember is that we are not to re-create what is being created when we translate other's works. My advise for the publishers, do not assume your reader's intellectual level and change your products to fit that mental profile you have in mind. Five stars for the Chinese version, 4 stars for the English version.
