Do not believe the other reviewer that hated this movie. I think the other reviewer had a bad day or some other irritating thing going on in his life when he wrote the review. This movie is basically about a boy interested in having a dog for christmas but can not as his family is financially strapped and as a dog is huge responsibility . This frustrates the 12 year old boy a little bit to the point he gets upset with his mother which is where the other reviewer got the annoying I want a dog thing from. It was a ten second scene that quickly gets calmed down when his mother calls him out for bad behavior and points out he has a lot to be thankful for. What happens next is that the boy figures out a way to get a wish come true by wishing for it at midnight from the Christmas star he gets the idea from a traveling kind professor. But as the boy wishes for a dog a bee passes by and he says he wants to bee a dog. So as the boy walks from he feels something happening then he wakes up a dog. The narrator then takes over describing how he feels and is rather funny at times talking like the dog did in Look who's talking now. There are many interesting adventures as the dog tries to find the professor to help change him back. The dog is by himsewlf as he struggles to get help.I would describe this being alone and trying to find help like Home Alone as the dog /boy character finds out how fortunate he really was in life as well as meeting many characters that help him along the way as well as characters that act like the villains in Home Alone. It is funny, amusing to watch and heart felt at times. I give the movie 4 out of five stars because the script could have been fine tuned a little bit better to not seem corny at times. Some scenes and characters did not need to be in there but overall it is very enjoyable.

I am a grandmother and this was a great movie to watch with my granchildren. The movie had a variety of animals in it. This is a movie that parents can feel comfortable having their children watch without any inappropriate language or scenes. The scenery was beautiful.

OR 2 WORDS ANNOYING. THIS IS COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO DOES LOVE SAPPY CHRISTMAS MOVIES, ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH DOGS. BUT THIS ONE IS AWFUL. EVERY CHARACTER IS SO ANNOYING, ESPECIALLY THE NARRATOR. THESE FILMS SHOULD HAVE SOME KIND OF MORAL LESSON TO THEM, BUT NOTHING IS LEARNED FROM THESE SELFISH PEOPLE EXCEPT GIVE ME WHAT I WANT WHEN I WANT IT. I HATED THIS MOVIE WIT A PASSION. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SKIP IT, WATCH HE 12 DOGS OF CHRISTMAS INSTEAD.
