A City on A Lake is a group led by Alex Wong, a really great singer-songwriter. He also acts as a music producer, and produced this album. The group uses cello, violin, trombone, and other instruments to create a very mellow but deeply complex sound. This album contains some very beautiful music and it really is wonderful to listen to. Unfortunately, there aren't very many songs. One track is Alex reading the credits of who worked on the record and another two tracks are short ambient sound pieces that work into larger songs. While this album is worth the time, and the effort, I wish there had been more music. I look forward to listening to more of Alex Wong and A City on a Lake!

I was looking for some new music and stumbled across this album during an Internet search. A very interesting and enjoyable piece of work. Lots of layers, unexpected instrumentation, great vocals. Very relaxing and mellow. Highly recommended.
