Book Description

May 2, 2010
How one extraordinary man with the unfortunate case of mistaken identity shook an entire town...and the Good Ol' Boy network waging war against him!

It's an hysterical look at the notions of law, crime and criminal behavior. After a brush with the law, "Dawg's" life takes a sudden turn as he becomes a hostage of the "system."

Fighting against the madness every step of the way, Dawg's behind the scenes discoveries are hilarious, sobering and often shocking exposures of a transparent gaggle called the legal system blatantly making their own rules and only following them as they wish.

When they discover Dawg isn't who they thought he was, they refuse to do what's right. Dawg must take matters in his own hands as he flips the script, brings truth to light and raises the question, "Who actually is a danger to society?"

About the Author

Michael Allen is a writer and father who has recently published "When You Miss Me," the children's book for children who need comforted in times when their parents go through separation or divorce. Also, children of military families can appreciate its heartwarming message when a loved one is serving their country far away from home.

Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1970, Michael Allen was shortly moved to be raised in and around the Washington, D.C. area. The son of an Army Intelligence Officer, the grass never grew under Michael Allen's feet. Having served his country himself, he has seen the world...twice. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, he has often said, "Stationed in North Carolina, I saw half the world...twice. Stationed in Japan, I saw the rest of it...twice."

He now lives in Clearwater, Florida where the grass gets a chance to finally grow under his feet. Only not much grass ever is... The sandy beaches are where you can find him now, unless he's tucked away in what he calls his "cave" working on his next piece of work.

More About the Author

Michael Allen is the author of Thoughts and Reconsideration, A Danger to Society and When You Miss Me. His works show his wide range of writing from a novel to a children's book, and now a journey in poetry. He makes readers laugh and he makes them think, which is all he ever wanted to do since he picked up his first pen at the age of six. His articles polish his thoughts as he's working through a manuscript so he practically invites interaction from his readers as he explores what he has affectionately termed the "Deeper Downs." His latest work Thoughts and Reconsideration showcases such favorites as "In Memory of An Angel," "I'm the Only," and "My Broken Piano" along with other poems never previously published.
