Having been a companion for several dogs over the course of my life, so far, I find this book brings the memories of all my lost dogs to life. It puts feeling & thoughts in a simple language and leaves my imagination to fill in the blanks. The illustrations are also simple and easy to translate into the face of any dog. It is written from the heart and the sharing the author has done with the reader is wonderful.

This is a touching little book about the memories of a lost pet. The book speaks to us of past recollections, of that soft touch, of those sparkling eyes. June Greig's dialogue and Gina Duffy's illustrations are simple and heartfelt. If you have ever lost a dog, this is a book to help you “Remember”.

I met June at an author's expo. We connected immediately. We all will or have suffered loss of a beloved pet. A Dog to Remember helps us reflect, in a simple way. Children and adults can create their own unique collage of memories, celebrating life as they remember. As a counselor, oftentimes, clients tell me that it is harder losing their beloved pet. I know why. It's because they give us a safe place to be, without judgment, and for too short a time. It is an empowering relationship that creates positive change in our lives. Enjoy the Journey ~ Maureen Ross,

I ordered three of them. Two for Christmas presents and kept one for myself.
It truly helps with the pain and loss that you feel forever. Lets you remember all the fun you had with your dog and makes the loss of losing them more comforting.
