5.0 out of 5 stars What an Amazing song! Must listen to this, NO excuses.
So I'm proud to say Ron Pope is actually a friend of mine and I met him while not knowing he was this super duper famous musician. I started listening to his music and I can honestly say Ron ROCKS!!! I bought this for my girlfriend and she can't stop listening. Thanks Ron- keep em coming!! If you haven't seen Ron's website go to [...]

1.0 out of 5 stars Uninspired
This song was ok the first time I heard it, which was basically any John Mayer tune ever put out. It is a horribly generic song that's been done a million times before with a different set of lyrics.

And what in the heck does this mean:

"New England as the leaves change
The last excuse that I'll claim
I was a boy who loved a women...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sounding song. Real nice guy., June 4, 2011

We met Ron and his band in Urbana recently. My son is a huge fan. Ron was wonderful, treating him like a real friend. The song has a great sound to it. I also really like his live version of the song.
I don't agree with the one negative review. A lot of songs have similarities, but the passion and intensity in one's voice can make a big difference.
I really like this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Goosebumps every time..., October 24, 2011
This review is from: A Drop In The Ocean (MP3 Download)
Generic?! Wow! Could NOT be more wrong. I heard this song on a TV show, and LOVED it. I bought the song right after the show ended, and have been listening to it non-stop ever since. I can't put my finger on exactly WHAT makes is such a good song, but can only say that I get goosebumps every time I hear it. For me, that's the mark of a great song. I was SHOCKED when I read the one-star review, and just had to leave one to let others know how FABULOUS this song is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great song!, September 22, 2011
This review is from: A Drop In The Ocean (MP3 Download)
I try not to write reviews but was confused why this had a low rating. This song is amazing... and if this is what is considered "generic" (as one reviewer claims) then apparently generic means awesome.

I heard this at the end of the season 3 premiere of the Vampire Diaries and had to look it up. I'll be buying Pope's albums now too.

What a great voice. So easy to listen to.

Seriously, this is garbage.
