Biographical Sketch of Dr. DeAnn Torregano
Dr. DeAnn Torregano was born in San Francisco, California and grew up on the Silicon Valley peninsula in the city of East Palo Alto. In September of 1977, a marvelous change took place when a co-worker shared with her the message of God's love. She began attending daily noon-day prayer service on her lunch hour. During an evening service at the New Sweet Home Church of God in Christ, she gave her life to Jesus Christ, was born again and baptized with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. By divine intervention, she relocated to the lone star state of Texas in December of 1993. Her deep hunger to truly know God for herself drew her into a closer walk, a deeper manifested prayer life and the quest for biblical wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Divinity with honors in information technology and business administration in 1995 and was also conferred with a certificate of ordination as an independent minister from the International Theological University in Pasadena, California. In 1997, she accepted her call into the gospel ministry and was in observation for two years under the watchful eye of Bishop Dr. James L. Berry, Pastor and Bishop Dr. Mable L. Berry, Co-pastor of the New Birth Church of the Living God, PGT in Jacksonville, Texas. In 1998, she completed a biblical course in Theology and Preaching 101 at the PGT Bible Institute in Tyler, Texas under the instruction of Overseer W.L. Jones departing with a grade point average of 4.0. She was ordained and licensed in the Church of the Living God denomination in 1999 where she served faithfully in the capacity of Associate Minister. In 2001, she completed an additional correspondence course earning certificates in four areas of theological study from the Midway Bible Institute in Weston, Ohio.
Dr. DeAnn Torregano continued her educational quest at the Chosen Vessels School of Ministry in Jacksonville, Texas and was valedictorian (summa cum laude) in the graduating class of 2002. Upon receiving congratulatory expressions from her professors on her success of academic excellence, she received her diploma in Preachers Ethics Studies. She returned in January 2003 to earn an additional diploma in Preachers Ethics Studies II. In July of 2004, she completed another semester and made her final departure from this institution with a diploma in Discipleship Training.
In 2005, she completed the mandatory courses and the required examination to qualify as a Certified Pastoral Counselor from the Crossroads Theological Seminary in Tupelo, Mississippi. Additionally, in this same year she earned a Master of Arts in Divinity with honors in spiritual support counseling and church administration from I.T.U. After graduation she was granted entrance into the Professional Path Doctoral program there.
In 2006, she became a member of the Kingdom Builders Ministries International in Tyler, Texas. She was also welcomed into the Ministers of the Heart Fellowship of Female Ministers in Houston, Texas. She was a recipient of the 10th Annual Bishop's Gala Award Trophy in 2004. She has appeared on the talk show Sharing with Sharon as a commercial participant for the 2004 Women of Excellence Conference and a discussion panelist on the topic 2003 Women in the Ministry. She has also appeared preaching the gospel on the Just for You Ministries program which aired weekly on the Cox Cable Network in the Jacksonville and Tyler, Texas regions. She kicked off the 2004 PGT Fellowship Revival as the guest speaker at Scott's Temple Church of the Living God, PGT in Douglass, Texas. In 2003, she was appointed to the post of Advisor for the Virtuous Women of the Lord Multicultural Outreach Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia. At her co-pastors request she established a ministry for single women by creating a mission statement of purpose, coordinating the introductory program, and as its initial speak presented for the first time, the Daughters of the King Single Women's Ministry which was later renamed Single, Saved & Satisfied. She was one of five guest speakers for the 2003 Holy Women's Convocation hosted by the New Birth Church of the Living God, PGT of Jacksonville, Texas. She is registered on the clergy visiting list of the East Texas Medical Center and Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, Texas.
When the student is ready the teacher will appear.... and in 2007 after being elevated by God to the five-fold ministry level of Prophetess as recorded in Ephesians 4:11, on the 23rd day of February she was inducted into the sacred order of P.O.M.E. (Prophetic Order of Mar Elijah) as a Neophyte of the Elite 300 Company of Prophets by Master Prophet Dr. E. Bernard Jordan in East Elmhurst, New York. Additionally, on June 3rd of this same year she left the comfort zone of the pulpit at the New Birth Church of the Living God, PGT in Jacksonville, Texas where she served faithfully from 1994 - 2007 in favor of a five year sabbatical. This time has allowed her to complete her academic adventure which concluded in May 2010 with a Doctor of Divinity degree with honors in International Church Administration and Mission Operations. She has also published her first book titled "A Façade Becomes a Symphony" which was released in December 2010. She is now working to complete her mandated assignment of establishing the "D.A.T. Angel of Light Ministries" in her new homeland of Atlanta, Georgia where she continues to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Dr. DeAnn Torregano is known for being a no nonsense student of the word of God and an uncompromised preacher of the gospel. Being led by the Holy Ghost, a zeal for academic excellence, positive mentors, and the adoption of a divinely inspired mission statement are the gifts which have given her the passion that she possesses to press forward on the battlefield of gospel ministry.

& go through the memories of your mind,
To find the things you left behind,
In the things we call the past.
Read the book...Deep for those who want
to understand what one goes through
in the essence of growing up & finding oneself.
God's favor can do to impact our lives in a productive and positive way,
if we just remain focused on his awesome love for us, and who's really in control.
All we have today in this world is our faith. A Facade Becomes A Symphony, is proof
positive to how our unwavering faith in God, can put the vitality and exuberance
foe simple Christian living back into our lives. It has enlightened and taught me
to let go, and place all of my trust in God's hands.
DeAnn Torregano's, A Facade Becomes A Symphony, is a very clear and percise work,
which explains in perfect detail how God, is always close by for us, when we need him the most.
A Facade Becomes A Symphony, has also made clear to me, that it is not the pursuit of material
wealth that matters in life, but our relationship with God. This book in my opinion is the remarkable
result of what God has the power to do in all of our lives. It is quite inspiring to say the least.
