More About the Author

I was born and raised in rural southwest Loozianna where the piney woods of East Texas quit dribbling over the Sabine and Calcasieu rivers and the flat rice farming Cajun country began. I served in the US Navy and started college at The University of Hawaii. After discharge, I worked for some time on a Seismic Crew in the Atchafalaya Basin - the largest wetland and swamp in the nation. I soon quit that job and started back to college at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La., where I met and married my wife 53 years ago. We have two good and very creative Sons. We moved to Houston where with her help, I graduated from the University of Houston and began a very successful business career with a major oil/chemical company. After retirement, we moved to Marfa, Texas where I learned there is no such thing as retirement. So, with zero credentials, I started creative writing. We have lived in Marfa for near 17 years, where I have become a strong political activist and a writer. The Marfa Book Company began to represent my work in 2001 and I have made several presentations at the MBCo. My work is now also represented on Amazon. I am a happy camper !!
