This is a massive three disc set, although I suspect if they used dvd9's they could have squeezed it onto two discs. It chronicles his career through music videos, live performances, studio sessions, interviews (of Krush and others), and assorted clips Krush's work from 1994 to 2006. He must of carried a video camera with him from the start because there is tons of footage from all kinds of locations, but not professional footage. Krush comes off as a deep conscientious artistic pleasant and intense hip hop artist. His work is displayed prominently with plenty of music contained on the discs.

If you are a fan of his music, you'll love this beautifully packaged set. And if you are new to his music but love hip hop, you'll find plenty to enjoy here. If you don't know Krush and don't like hip hop, why are you reading this review?

Krush really is a master DJ and this is a masterful review of 12 years of work. And Krush, MORE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLEASE!

I'm a tremendous fan of DJ Krush and was disappointed by this box set. Most of the material is from Meiso and Milight, I already own the cds and felt it was a little redundant to see live footage, music videos and studio recordings of songs I already owned. I was hoping for b-sides, demos, unreleased songs or videotaped freestyles, but did not receive any of that. I was also hoping to hear some more insight into who the esoteric DJ Krush really is, but the interviews he gives are pretty impersonal and boring.
However, I am, like I said, a massive fan. I take some joy in owning material that could be considered rare or a collector's piece. I would recommend buying his cd's instead of this, but it might be nice to throw this dvd on in the background of a house party. This dvd is NOT a must-have, it is more of a luxury to add to a collection.

I am taking a middle ground between the previous two reviewers and giving this 4 stars and I will explain why. I do have almost all of DJ Krushs music so I can identify with the person who gave this 3 stars it is nothing new if you have heard all of his music. However, the thing that is new is actually seeing DJ Krush himself narrating parts of it and all the people he has ever worked with talking about how working with him was and actually seeing how DJ Krush performs live, which even if you have heard all his music is really cool. I have also seen DJ Krush perform live before several years ago right after he came out with the Stepping Stones Albums and he did not play any of his signature tracks during his set that I could recognize which was very disappointing at the time. I actually left the concert early due to this, and the fact that the club was filled with rude, disrespectful people that were really getting on my nerves. The live material alone is worth buying this DVD set for even though it is often cut short or commented over it gives you a rare glimpse into the raw energy, and powerful expression that is infused into his music, and that is pretty darn cool. This is especially relevant if you have never really seen him perform live before, it is cheaper and less hassle than going to a concert, and you don't have to deal with the annoying crowds! While if you want to see DJ Krushs complete music videos this is not for you however, if you want to learn about him and see what the live performances are like this is highly recommended. I only watched one disc of this but I enjoyed every moment of it and DJ Krushs music sounded incredible coming out of my Sony surround sound home theater system.

The best of Krush on video.
I put this on while I work, great background music and I get to look up every now and then and have some visuals to go with it.
