Book Description

From the Kindle Bestselling author of Change of Heart...

"A Hustler's Promise took me on an emotional ride.  I love when books do that!" Diamond (@DiamondSkye20)

"AHHH, I loved this book! Can't wait for part 2!" - Angela Baker, author of City Love

Overview:
Money is the root of all evil
Or so they say...
Two street hustlers, bound together by a simple promise, have to make a choice...
The Streets Are Calling.

More praise for A Hustler's Promise:

"I'm a fan of urban fiction when it's done right and honestly, A Hustler's Promise is done right. I think it's cool that the author wrote a book about people who refuse to be a victim of their community and learn how to make their situation work for them." -Reading is My Cheap Addiction

"A strong male character in Rayshawn and an even stronger female character in Jaicyn makes this story compelling and edgy." - Cheryl Hough, Reviewer

*** For anyone who enjoys the works of David Weaver, Eric Jerome Dickey, and Nikki Turner, you will love A Hustler's Promise!

More Kindle Bestsellers by Jackie Chanel:

***Untitled-- Who says a white boy can't play the blues?

***Change of Heart-- Sometimes we go through life looking for the perfect relationship and don't realize it was there from the beginning

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick and Entertaining Book - Highly recommend! January 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Jaicyn had a crackhead mother who was never home. She had to raise her sisters and take care of the bills....even if that meant stealing clothes and selling them. Whatever she had to do to pay the rent and keep the lights on was what she did. She started getting to like Rayshawn, but he got into the drug game. Some problems came up, and she suffered the consequences. She actually came out a better person though.

I almost started crying when I was reading about how Jaicyn had to take care of the kids and the bills. Her mother didn't even seem to care what happened. Jaicyn could have easily just let things go and they would be out on the street. She really did her best. She didn't even want to accept help from Rayshawn.

I was very surprised at what job Jaicyn ended up with. The end really has me wondering what is next. I can't wait to read the next book. This was a highly entertaining and quick read. It flowed very well and kept my attention. I highly recommend this book!

A HUSTLER'S PROMISE: SOME PROMISES WON'T BE BROKEN was SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD, and I LOVED IT. A REAL PAGE-TURNER, NEVER A DULL MOMENT. JAICYN was a TEENAGER who FELL in LOVE with an UP AND COMING DRUG DEALER name RAYSHAWN. JAICYN OVERCAME MANY OBSTACLES in her YOUNG LIFE, with the HELP of her MAN, and on her OWN. RAYSHAWN and JAICYN were TRULY in LOVE. CAN'T WAIT FOR pt.2, DEFINITELY LOOKING FORWARD TO READING. JACKIE CHANEL DID HER THING. MY FIRST READ BY THIS AUTHOR, BUT WON'T BE MY LAST. I TRULY ENJOYED THIS MUST READ..........

5.0 out of 5 stars Can't wait for part II February 7, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
1st time reading this author, but will be reading more of her books. Bought this book because funds were low, boy, am I glad I did. Jaicyn was bad, from beginning to end. She stepped up when her momma stepped out and took care of her little sisters. Love the way she and Rayshawn are down for each other, ride and die til the end. Can't wait for part 2. Even after reading the reviews, didn't know if I would like this book, but I loved it, couldn't stop reading. Since buying my Kindle, I have read more urban fiction than I ever did before, and this book is by far the best yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Grammer? May 24, 2012
By Jess
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really liked this book me and my fiance read it, I read it in 2 days it was so good, I gave it 4 stars bc it was missing words and I hate reading books and words are missing out of the sentence, I rather read something misspelled. Other then that we plan on reading part two, the couple reminded us of our own relationship.

More About the Author

Jackie Chanel is a contemporary romance author and self proclaimed writing ninja. Her writing career began in high school when she began writing short romance stories about her celebrity crushes. Her very first novel was penned while she was a senior in Youngstown, Ohio. She insists that no one will ever read it.

Jackie studied at Georgia State University and currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia. When she's not writing, arguing with her muse (McKenzie) or daydreaming, she can often be found drooling over the latest Chanel shoes or playing around on her tumblr blog with a cup of coffee in hand and a little Mayer or Hendrix in the background.

Her characters are a reflection of the people she has encountered along her writing journey and her books are often inspired by her favorite thing; music.
