Having gotten one of these years ago, we loved it. It was sad when the metal shaft pulled out of the handle. So, we tried two of the knock offs and went back to the original within two months. There is something about the shape of the handle, angle of the blade and thickness of the blade that simply make this a superior tool. It produces less wrist fatigue and does a better job. When my wife and I are both weeding, it is the first tool we reach for. I am now repairing the original one (over 12 years old) so we can have two. If unsuccessful, I will likely buy a new one in the spring or put it on my Christmas list.

This tool does everything you ask of it and more. Clippers and the weeder are all I need to carry with me to get most of the garden's jobs done for the day.

The Cape Cod weeder is an old-fashioned, but extremely useful tool for weeding that I find surpasses almost all other weeders. It allows one to remove the weed--root and all, very quickly and efficiently.

Excellent tool. It makes the weeding go much faster and it gets the roots out which keeps the weeds from coming back.

I already own a Cape Code weeder and love using it. I have looked for another one for several friends who used mine and loved it. When one of them found one on-line, I decided to buy another one. I wanted to have a second one in case I lost mine. Also, I won't have to fight my husband for it if we are both working together. I use it for weeding and for loosening soil around perennials and for planting annuals rather than a trowel. I fits very well in the compartment in my stool or in my bucket seat/storage.
