Shopping here is not the slam dunk that it has been.

BIGSKYSPORT does not care about their customers beside keeping their experiences from other customers in what I would call a non-transparent and dishonest manner.

The tape stretches well and brakes off easy when you are done with the wrap.

For a few seasons now, I have been attempting to graft with various tapes that were meant for other purposes (mostly for tying trees.) All my attempts thus far have been sloppy and have failed. I used this tape today and it is amazing, it wraps nicely and tightly. The tape stretches well and brakes off easy when you are done with the wrap. For the price, you can't really beat it.

Edit: If buying more than one of these items, choose A.M. Leonard as a seller. As of the time of this writing, shipping is a fixed price regardless of the number of items you order.

Pros:
Nice width -- thicker tape crosses itself and creates air pockets
Stretchy -- but not too much, so that it can also tear off easily
Makes a clean finish to a graft
Grows with graft -- no need to remove tape too early

Cons:
High shipping cost (but same shipping price if you buy more than one item from A.M. Leonard)

The tape just comes on a roll, and unless you do something to keep it from falling off you'll probably have a mess of knotted tape on your hands. I used some twist ties to help it stay on the roll, though it's not as stable as I'd like. Handy tip: Cut out some pieces of cardboard and make a little holder for the tape (see my pics).

Have used this tape for 3 years for training roses to grow on a fence. Once it is tied it never comes loose or breaks and the roses aren't bothered by it a bit.

For once I'm going to write a review since amazon has been so good to shipping to Alaska……Thank you amazon.
Been grafting apple trees for the last three years using Para-film. After so many years you eventually run out; so I decided to try a product actually made for grafting - poly budding tape.

Advantages:
1) Poly budding tape is better for grafting large limbs and allows the graft to heal before breaking the tape when the tree is really swelling.
2) Poly budding tape is cheaper than Para-film.
3)You can write on the tape easily so you have record of the graft.
4)You can use the tape to support limbs.
Disadvantages:
1)Poly budding tape is harder to wrap and requires a knot, unlike Para-Film.
2)Poly budding tape does not easily cater to small grafts such as 3/16" whips.
3)Poly budding tape makes a mess since it wants to unravel easily.
4)This review shows a picture of 2 poly budding tapes and yet you only get one. Disappointing, yet encouraging to know I will not wait 3 years to go back to Para-film.

No sticky on this tape ... just how the heck is that supposed to work? 1/5

So, I have to also take a big shot at BIGSKYSPORTS who sells this, in partnership with Amazon.

They have a high rating of 4.9 out of 5 ... 98% positive ... but that is a cover and a dodge.
They have my customer feedback on this order suppressed by Amazon and I imagine
my feedback is not the only one missing.

This is not budding and grafting tape as it is clearly marketed as, and what I got was not
what I wanted. I think feedback to that effect is clear and correct ... here is a company that
wants to hide behind their relationship with Amazon and do poor quality work and sell
products that are incorrect.

BIGSKYSPORT does not care about their customers beside keeping their experiences from
other customers in what I would call a non-transparent and dishonest manner.

Please do not buy anything from BIGSKYSPORTS, and if you have had a bad experience with
them please DO contact Amazon and let them know that their partner is not reflecting well
on them.

Actually I have no real bases to compare this tape to as I am a new grafter and have only used the tape once and I am not very proficient in the use of the tape or grafting. However, the tape does provides a tight binding on the work being grafted.
