When I was starting out I ordered several guides to becoming a professional organizer. This book was the best of the bunch. She gives real useful tips on everything from marketing and pricing your services, to needs assessments, to working with clients to how to track the work you do.

Books can be helpful, but I also STRONGLY recommend joining NAPO.net and NSGCD.org to access lots of really great training. The national conference and the local NAPO chapters are an incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful group of people. Why go out to client sites alone when you can go knowing you are backed up by an amazing group of professionals willing to help you every step of the way? Good luck!

This book is a great tool and gives detailed information on "how-to" start your own professional organizing business. Great for the person who really isn't sure where to begin at all!
