Book Description

Tabitha Bell is the face of Chicago's premiere matchmaking service. At least, she hopes it will be someday, once business really takes off. What she needs is more clients, so when she meets a sexy gamer in need of help, it's the perfect opportunity.

His discomfort talking to women almost cost Drew Watson his job. He'd be happy holed up in his office, designing blockbuster video games, but his boss considers talking to investors a nonnegotiable requirement. Who better than a matchmaker to teach him how to be comfortable around the opposite sex? Trouble is, Drew wants to get more than comfortable with Tabitha, while she's determined to keep their relationship all business.

Soon Tabitha learns that beneath the geek-chic hoodie lies six feet of sexy physique—and the more time she spends with Drew, the more she appreciates his brainy brand of charm. Will she succumb to his sweet-but-nerdy charm offensive or will it be game over before he can win her heart?

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Sexy, Super Beta. I LOVED IT! March 31, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
I'm going to start by quickly getting two important points out of the way. One, though A Matchless Romance is the fourth in the Aisle Bound series, it can definitely be read as a stand alone with no problem, as I did. And two, I ADORED this story!

I have a confession: I can be a fickle reader. It sometimes seems my preferences change by the day. (I'm a Gemini, it's allowed) I've genuinely enjoyed all the many alphas men I've partaken in over recent years, truly. But these days I'm finding that I'm enjoying a different variety of hero, the nice guys, or at the very least, the men who can be strong and confident and demanding, but who also don't completely trample over the lady in their sights. Normal guys who some days come across strong and other days are happy to let the lady lead. I am specifically in the market for beta heroes. Drew Watson of A Matchless Romance happens to be one of the best I've come across.

Drew is a socially awkward game developer who needs help to comfortably discuss the business side gaming for his job. The socially awkward angle is not surprising, right? But... there is more to Drew than a being a smarty pants gamer/creator. He is also a former Olympian, currently training for marathons to challenge himself. Drew is comfortable among his peers, or apparently sexing his way through the Olympic Village and various gamer cons he attends. But when it comes to a normal conversation outside his comfort zone, it's a no-go. His school years, with the taunts and shunning, left Drew convinced he will never fit in. What's more, he has NO idea that he is in fact a gorgeous, athletic man with a lot to offer any lucky woman. He just needs to tone down the literalism he brings to every discussion, and to relax.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sexy computer geek and beautiful matchmaker August 4, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
*I received a free ARC of A Matchless Romance from Carina Press via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review*

A Matchless Romance is the kind of contemporary romance novel that leaves you feeling good! There is romance, complications, a very sexy computer-game geek and a gorgeous matchmaker. Neither of them think they’re good enough for each other, and that makes for some cute scenes!

Drew is a former Olympic athlete, and now he’s designing video-games full time. When he literally runs into Tabitha, they both have an instant attraction, but neither of them thinks the other has the same reaction. Drew has just started a new job, but he already has some trouble with his boss – who wants him to find a class to be better at interacting with women. When he finds out Tabitha is a matchmaker, he thinks it’s fate that brought them together.

As A Matchless Romance continues, Tabitha is completely taken with Drew, and he can’t stop thinking about her, either. However, since Drew doesn’t have much of a filter and says things probably best left unsaid, she realizes that he does, indeed, need some help. She brings him to her best friend’s wedding as a starter, and his interactions with both the bride and the groom had me laughing out loud!

The romance is ever-present, even as Tabitha and Drew are trying to not show their attraction, that all ends when they finally give in and have sex, though – even if the aftermath of their encounter is not at all what either of them wanted or expected! A Matchless Romance is both romantic and humorous, and it is a very sweet contemporary read. The characters from the prior Aisle Bound stories all show up as well, but this story can be read as a stand-alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! June 29, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Why? Why have I waited this long to read a book in the Aisle Bound Series by Christi Barth? I love sexy, sassy contemporary romance books and A Matchless Romance is the definition of that. Sassy heroine, a geeky hero and a happy ever after (several in fact). A Matchless Romance is the fourth book in the Aisle Bound Series, but the first one I have read. It can easily be read as a standalone, but I so badly want to go back and read all the other books now to get to know the other characters. I love it when a book in a series does that!

In this story Tabitha is running a matchmaking business and Drew is a video game designer looking for some help interacting with women, since he royally offended his female boss and needs to be able to nail some upcoming marketing interviews. From their first encounter, Tabitha and Drew hit it off. Their friendly demeanor and chemistry was so fun to watch. Christi brings such humor to both of these characters in very different ways. Drew takes everything very literal and Tabitha gets such a kick out of it.

Since this series is new to me, I did not know the other characters very well. However, they all seemed like one big happy family and I can't wait to go back and read other books in the series to get to know them. I like contemporary romance novels where you can't put the book down because you are having too much fun and this book did that for me. The story moves along at a great pace and I couldn't wait to see how Drew was going to win Tabitha's heart.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute yet sexy
I’d classify this story as cute yet sexy. I loved geeky Drew. Although when I imagine a nerd I don’t think about his sexual prowess, this story changed that for me.
