5.0 out of 5 stars Boomkat is BACK!, January 28, 2009
This review is from: A Million Trillion Stars (MP3 Download)
Boomkat has been gone for sometime now, not gone completely but on a quest to make brand new amazing music for your listening pleasure. A Million Trillion Stars delivers what old Boomkat did with a bite! Lots of heart and soul into this album and you can hear it in Taryn Mannings voice. Such a talented group of people put this together. I am glad Boomkat is finally back! A Million Trillion Stars is a great Pop/Hip Hop-ish collection. 'Stomp' and 'Runboy' are guaranteed too make anyone get outta the chair and dance!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Million Trillion Stars, April 6, 2009

I can't find words to comment this album. Or any work by Boomkat, because their songs/videos are SO amazing that even saying they are amazing is not enough. This record is a gift to any pop/eletronic/soul lover. In fact, classifying anything by Boomkat would be unfair, because they are SO MUCH MORE than classifications, that there MUST be a Boomkat music style along with Rock, Pop, etc... Because of their originality!

The first single off of this CD is "Runaway", don't forget to check out the beautiful video!

It's hard to choose songs to comment because they are all awesome, but "Stomp", "Burn" and "Instead" are great examples of why this band is so unique... The best song here turns out to be "Don't Be So Shy", which follows the unbeatable style of the perfection heard on 2004's hit "What U Do 2 Me" (off of their debut album "Boomkatalog. One") but "A Million Trillion Stars" is definitely a must-have album for anyone who likes quality music!

Now my only wish is that there would be a phisical release of this masterpiece... It totaly deserves it! Go on Boomkat, can't wait for another album full of magnificent good tunes and surprises!

BOOMKAT IS IN DA HOUSE! Loyal fan ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars Before the TING TINGS!!! back in '03, March 25, 2009
This review is from: A Million Trillion Stars (MP3 Download)
Boomkat is the best undiscovered indie pop band in the world...Come on people! You like the ting tings, right?! Before THAT'S not my NAME, we had The Wreckoning and What U do 2 ME by BOOMKAT! Make sure to give them a chance with this album, they totally rock, and you can feel a metamorphosis in the way they've written this new album. It's totally awesome! And Boomkat! if you are reading... I want to make sure YOU KNOW you have loyal fans so in love with your music!!!!! YES!!! And finally people: make sure to download all the songs (my personal favorite is Runaway ( I wish I could see Taryn riding a unicorn in the video)....Can that be possible?
