4.0 out of 5 stars Short book - good work., May 17, 2011

This is a delightful little book with a big scope. The short stories, some of them very short, start out on the sweet and light side and wind up very, very dark. It's a great way to see George's ability as a writer, to see how a writer can write more than one kind of story within a genre. I plan on passing this along to the nephew of a friend of mine, a kid who says he "doesn't read" -- maybe this will pique his interest.
