5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent cook book October 16, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I've gotten this book before and loved it. Not only the charming design and layout of the book, but the wonderful recipes for Peruvian dishes, which reflect Violeta Autumn's Russian-Jewish heritage. I have enjoyed many of these dishes, both in Perú and when prepared by my wife, who is Peruvian, and can attest to the fact that these recipes are delicious y contienen la esencia de la auténtica cocina peruana (and contain the essence of genuine Peruvian cooking), but with that little touch of 'the old country.'

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a book of recipes for Peruvian cuisine with a smidgen of Russian-Yiddish taste thrown in. Try it, you'll like it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Russian Jew Cooks In Peru December 23, 2008
Format:Paperback
This cookbook, A Russian Jew Cooks in Peru, is one of my favorite cookbooks, and is a great cookbook if you have spent time in Peru. It has Peruvian recipes, some Jewish recipes, and some Russian ones too. It is nice because it uses ingredients you can readily find in the U.S. The title of the cookbook is humorous and true, and the rhyme is nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars You will love it January 27, 2013
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Actually written by hand. So much love in this food. I grew in Peru and found things from my grandmother
I have been using it now for a while and even bought one for my sister for her birthday. The recipes are great. Very accurate. The instructions are detailed and one does not need a lot of knowledge to make fantastic Peruvian food. I love the Jewish touch. I have been recommending this book to all my friends. By the price jump I see it is getting lots of attention.
By it you will not regret it.
