PRAISE FOR USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR JENNIFER HAYMORE:

"Each time Ms. Haymore writes a book in this series I think there is no way to top the one I just finished. I started this latest one and realize she has done just that and has proven to me how fresh this series can remain. The characters of Becky and Jack are so full of life and longing just trying to make the right connection between family, relationship and future happiness while figuring out who to trust with all their secrets. This is a wonderful story and while I recommend reading the 1st two it is not imperative as Jennifer Haymore is a magician at connecting the plot from one book to the next-- but trust me you will have to buy the first two, they are that good."—The Reading Reviewer (www.marygramlich.com)

"41/2 Stars! Haymore uses the Christmas season as an enhancing backdrop for a mystery/romance that is both original and fulfilling. Her fresh voice & ability to build sensual tension into lively love stories...makes this tale shine."—RT Book Reviews

"Ms. Haymore has penned a fabulous story of seduction, romance, intrigue and betrayal and above all that - love. You don't want to miss it! I'm now a big fan of this new author and she is going on my automatic to buy list! I love her writing style and the complex plots that she has weaved so beautifully together....The characters are amazing and the story will tug at your heart strings. So if you love a great read, do go and get this series, you will be glad that you did!"—sapphireromance.blogspot.com

"A SEASON OF SEDUCTION is an engaging historical tale-it all begins with seduction and turns to love, but can Jack redeem himself? You can expect some sizzling scenes as the two protagonists get together, but is there any way the sizzle can last with Jack's treachery? Suffice to say, the road to love can get somewhat bumpy, but it is an entertaining story that readers will enjoy."—Marilyn Heyman, Romance Reviews Today

"Jennifer Haymore strikes a good balance of strength, sensuality, drama and intrigue in her characters...Becky is an independent, fearless woman except when it comes to opening her heart to another man. And Jack, while strong and passionate, shows great sensitivity under his 'rogue' persona. With enduring characters that exhibit strong chemistry, I very much enjoyed Ms. Haymore's unique, engaging style and look forward to reading the other books that are a part of this series."—www.fictionvixen.com

"Sweep-you-off-your-feet historical romance! Jennifer Haymore sparkles!"—New York Times bestselling author Liz Carlyle on A TOUCH OF SCANDAL

"Jennifer Haymore's books are sophisticated, deeply sensual, and emotionally complex. With a dead sexy hero, a sweetly practical heroine, and a love story that draws together two people from vastly different backgrounds, A TOUCH OF SCANDAL is positively captivating!"—Elizabeth Hoyt, New York Times bestselling author on A TOUCH OF SCANDAL

"Ms. Haymore's talent for storytelling shines throughout this book."—Eye on Romance

"Haymore discovers a second fascinating, powerful and sensual novel that places her high on the must-read lists. She perfectly blends a strong plot that twists like a serpent and has unforgettable characters to create a book readers will remember and re-read."—RT BOOK Reviews

"A deliciously emotional Cinderella tale of two people from backgrounds worlds apart, A Touch of Scandal addicts the reader from the first page and doesn't let go until the very last word. Hurdle after hurdle stand in the way of Kate and Garrett's love, inexorably pulling the reader along, supporting them each step of the way. A Touch of Scandal is a surefire win!"—FallenAngelreviews.com

Haymore writes a clever novel with a well-rounded cast of characters both major and minor while offering her readers a charming, intelligent, and wounded heroine in Lady Rebecca. While reading A Season of Seduction I found myself unable to set the book down, as I needed to know what was going to occur next. Haymore has crafted a clever plot with enough surprise twists to keep the reader thoroughly engaged as well as mesmerized by 19th century London and the numerous secrets to be unveiled throughout the novel. I would recommend A Season of Seduction to all readers as it has a bit of something for everyone and a rather enjoyable way to begin thinking of the holiday season.—rundpinne.com

About the Author

As a child, Jennifer Haymore traveled the South Pacific with her family on their homebuilt sailboat. Since then, she's earned degrees in computer science and education and held various jobs ranging from bookselling to teaching inner-city children to acting, but she's never stopped writing.

You can find Jennifer in Southern California trying to talk her husband into yet another trip to England, helping her three children with homework while brainstorming a new five-minute dinner menu, or crouched in a corner of the local bookstore writing her next novel.

Just in time for the holiday season! Take a look at that gorgeous cover! It made me want to put up my tree :)

A Season of Seduction is the third book in a series. I had no problem reading it even though I hadn't read the first two. The couples featured in the earlier books are present in A Season of Seduction, and it left me wanting to know more about how they came to be together.

This was a delightful book. After reading the synopsis, I was worried I wouldn't like Jack because it sounds as if he plans to use Becky. His intentions might not be the most noble, but his feeling for Becky are genuine. He is flawed, but it didn't make him less appealing. If anything it might have made me like him even more. I also adored Becky. She is a very intelligent woman, and extremely protective of her independence. It was sad that she was still letting her dead husband's wrongs effect her four years later, but I admired that she didn't think she needed to be married in order to feel validated. Her reluctance to accept Jack's proposal, and all that followed made for delicious sexual tension. I admit to eating up every minute of it. This was a great story of love, loss, and betrayal. I enjoyed the author's writing and hope to read more from her in the future.

I really enjoyed this book. With the time line taking place around the holiday season, this would be a great book to read in the coming months. I definitely recommend it!

A Season of SeductionI really loved this book. I have only read one of Jennifer's other books in this series but you can read this series as stand alones. I enjoyed the characters in this story. The characters in this book are great. Jennifer has given wonderful details and explanations for everything and you really get to know them well. I had a real hard time with Jack at first because I kept wondering what he was really up to and did he really love Rebecca? I grew to like Jack more and more and then start to even understand him as the story unfolds. This book had emotions stirring because you have the heart broken widow and then Jack who is going to take advantage of her and take her for her fortune. You grow attached to Rebecca early on and learn of all the things that have happened and I was just hooked from the start. This story unfolds into a wonderful love story that will pleasently surprise you in the end. I feel that Jennifer is a great writer and has added a very good book to her series and what a wonderful Christmas gift this would make. I will be waiting for the next series. I hope you will pick this book up and read it you will enjoy it.

his is a wonderfully fun historical romance. This is third book in her series, but I think it can easily stand alone. You will probably want to read the first two, A Hint of Wicked and A Touch of Scandal at one point or another since they are somewhat connected. Lady Rebecca (Becky) has had enough of marriage and sees no point in romance, she wants a fling. Jack looks like the perfect candidate for Becky, but Jack really needs a wife. So, you know where this is going. Except that Jennifer Haymore takes you through a pleasant journey to get to that all important ending. The writing really takes you to another place and time. I enjoyed this one a lot.

Lady Rebecca Fisk was a widow looking for a little adventure and adventure was exactly what Jack Fulton needed. Added to the fact that Becky was beautiful, intelligent and rich help Jack justify what he was about to do and the scandal he would create. He was a man with a problem and all he needed to do to resolve his looming problem was to marry into money. He tried to convince himself that he only wanted Becky for her dowry because right now that is what would give him a ticket to freedom but something else was drawing him to her that he could not identify and scared him to the bone and made him want no other woman just Becky.

Becky had been duped by her late husband and lived with the misery that relationship brought and knew better than to trust anyone but her family ever again. But one taste of Jack's sweetness and she realizes that she will listen to the plan he is devising and may just take a leap of faith and trust him. Yet how far will she let this go and will he convince her that marriage is the respectable resolution to the issue they have created? Jack is saying all the right words and makes more than the correct gestures to woo her but she had suffered emotionally and physically while married to her late husband and to this day bears the scars and damage he wrecked upon her body and soul.

Jack has known suffering as well through the loss of family and young love but he still needs to grab onto that one person that can put a salve on his heart and help him love again and Becky may just be the one he has searched for. He does his best to get his way but every time he gets close to sealing the deal another disaster looms over their relationship slams the door on any happiness.

22yo widow is caught in the act with sailor Hero by her family & hotel guests. Blackmailed Hero planned it this way & expected an impending marriage with heroine as a result. But heroine's failed 1st marriage toughened her to not be easily swayed by circumstances & emotion & refused Hero's marriage proposal until she's thought things through. The approaching time-limit of Hero's blackmailer & Hero's falling in love with heroine is making him re-assess what is of utmost value to him. But will Hero's love be enough to overcome his dishonesty with heroine?

Haymore writes a good poignant romance. It is emotionally-moving, well-paced & has good sexual chemistry & sex scenes. What's interesting about this book is that is has lots of moral dilemmas & inner conflicts (i.e., deception vs. imprisonment, honesty vs. hurting others, justice vs. law-abiding, love vs. loneliness). Its all incorporated well in the story & is part of what makes the romance poignant.

Both Hero & heroine are imperfect characters with hard moral & life-or-death decisions. Both are survivors of past betrayals of love & are still reacting to the present based on their past pain. Heroine is very wary of being lied to & betrayed. She's basically a simple & docile person but becomes violently enraged due to the betrayal of the men she trusted with herself (i.e., she stabs her 1st husband & shoots Hero). Heroine definitely breaks away from any doormat tendencies. It was interesting to watch Hero progress from being self-centered to willing to sacrifice his life for heroine's love.

Recommended.
