From the Author
Outskirts Manuscript Evaluation Team encouraged me by saying the following: "You have an interesting and timely composition. Your organization and thesis are clear, which compliments your voice to create a tangible, poignant narrative. You use this along with solid sense of dialogue to really let the reader "in" on what's important. That creates value. Overall, your work demonstrates strong writing with a dialogue that paces and develops nicely. Your obvious fascination and respect for the word of Muriel Spark was especially notable, and you write about it in a way that will bring many readers in touch with Muriel Spark's works as well. Your book is well written and it's clear that you have put a good deal of thought and effort into the planning and presentation of your manuscript. It is very nicely formatted with a clear and concise layout. Your ending sentence - 'The unification of all the different worlds shown in Muriel Spark's fiction represents her overall view of the world, that great stage of life where we all play a part' is a great summary to your review".
From the Back Cover
Muriel Spark seems to have viewed the world as a stage even at a very early age and must have been struck by the fact that life does not always proceed with clock-like precision. The past keeps cropping up in the present, and there are often prophetic glimpses into the future. The economic difficulties experienced by several of her characters during the Great Depression of the Nineteen-Thirties strangely resemble the economic problems facing the world today. Muriel Spark's lively wit in describing those difficulties will undoubtedly entertain readers today, helping them to overcome the difficulties of the present.
