Book Description

Thanks to a scandalous affair, NYC girls Chrissy and Cami were banished from their usual beach vacation in the Hamptons. Needing to get away, Chrissy begged her stepfather for the keys to his family’s Outer Banks beach house. Darren needed to get out of LA, and his best friend Nick was delegated to keep an eye on him. Hoping to stay out of trouble, the boys flew off to the Outer Banks to spend a week at the family beach house. When the boys discover that the house is already occupied by two beautiful NYC girls, the fun begins.
What happens when these four very different, and very headstrong, people are forced to share a beach house? Will wild child Chrissy set her sights on one of the eligible bachelors? Has Darren learned his lesson and learned to behave himself? Will Cami and Nick survive the week with their undisciplined friends? More importantly, what will they each take with them from their week at the beach?

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet, Enjoyable, Well-Edited, GREAT! January 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
-Read On Kindle-

I was expecting a typical graphic romance novel, short on plot and reality and long on sex scenes. I was pleasantly surprised! This is well-edited, totally worth the FREE I paid! It's worth paying for. NOT GRAPHIC! Safe to let your young teen girl read, no sex scenes! Still lovely, romantic scenes that give get you engaged, just no sex.

All Pros, No Cons, I just really enjoyed this book, I'm surprised there are no other reviews as of this writing. I would totally keep this in my collection to forget and read again later, it was that cute!

Plot:
Cami goes the beach with her friend and ends up sharing their beach house with two guys, one of whom is Nick. A hot, successful man with a past. They spend 5 days together flirting heavy and Cami is fighting her inner voice that is telling her not to hook-up. She isn't that type. At the same time, she is falling in love with him. So, she eventually has to decide whether starting something with Nick is the right choice after all. There is more that happens after she goes home, but I won't spoil the plot. The end is HAPPY and wrapped up, so the perfect book for curling up on a rainy day or when you need a nice happy read.

Parts of it were unrealistic, just from a reality point of view. It could happen, but seems unlikely given men are just not as awesome as in romance novels. But, definitely a story that tells it how it should be. Very sweet, endearing characters, they are deep enough, lovable, you can identify with them. I really loved this book.

GREAT! LOVED IT!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun January 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
It was a freebie - I fell in love with the cover, and decided to give it a try. I figured if it was really nasty, I could just delete it.

What a sweet treat it turned into! Well written, and because of the free download, I am now in the process of reading other books by Virginia Jewel.

Keep writing! I will keep buying!

4.0 out of 5 stars Beach Fun January 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I enjoyed this fun beach novel that brought together four interesting characters with unique foibles and hopes for their futures.

Cami and Chrissy met in college and became best friends. Chrissy is a rich, spoiled girl without morals or discernment but sweet and kind. Cami's behavior is way more conservative having just gotten out of a long term relationship with Jack and tries to keep Chrissy out of too much trouble. The girls meet Darren and Nick at the beach house and discover they will be sharing the house for the week. Darren and Chrissy are alike in their loose morals, but Nick, who is Darren's Cami is instantly attracted to Cami. They start spending time together as Darren and Chrissy are always out partying. Cami makes it clear to Nick that she is not the type of girl to "hook up" with a guy and that since he lives in L.A. and she lives in New York, they would have no future for something long term. He agrees, but it becomes harder as the week goes on and they spend more and more time together.

I admit the ending is somewhat fantastic, but romantic and overall, I really enjoyed the dynamics of the story. Although this author has the characters talk about sex, she never actually describes anyone in the act. All the characters were likeable, if not sensible and I would read another story from this author in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars I found a new author March 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I downloaded this on Kindle when it was a freebie and fell in love with the author's writing style. The characters were real and had decent values. Sure, it was a typical fluff read (that's why I like Romance stories) but it was more believable than many of the books out today. I laughed at several moments and got teary-eyed at a couple because of the compassion. The author really makes you care about the characters. I'll definitely read for more books by her.

2.0 out of 5 stars I rolled my eyes about 50 times... April 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
...Oh, that wasn't me; that was the main character in this plotless story. I can't believe I actually read it all the way to the end. Did anyone edit this book and tell the author she had over-used some phrases to the point of being ridiculous? Apparently not. I'm glad I didn't spend much on it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Good April 24, 2012
By Nicole
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I accidently bought the book, when I hit the 1-click thing, I was just trying to zoom in on the cover, but I decided to read it anyway. I wish I hadn't. I honestly couldn't get through the entire book, and I normally read a book all the way through whether it is good or bad, just because I want to know how it ends. The book had no real climax or conflict and it just kept going. It should have ended with the proposal, but I think I was only 80% through at that point. This book could have been a good story, but it was extremely poorly written.
