Book Description

Kevin always had one ability that set him apart from everyone else. Healing. He healed his classmate Rachel when they were six years old, even though it almost exposed him.

He lost his parents after starting high school. Now a senior, he struggles to stay out of his sister’s way as she takes care of both of them. He sleeps on the couch in their one-bedroom apartment and walks to school. His sister is the only person he calls a friend. As if that weren’t enough, he discovers his power goes far beyond simple healing.

Kevin is a witch.

On top of everything, he has to deal with the surprises of the supernatural world. It turns out witch-hunters, vampires, and werewolves don’t like witches all that much. Kevin will need help from his new girlfriend Rachel, the sympathetic vampire Victoria, and every trick in his spell-book to survive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast-paced, fun, and addicting as hell... March 2, 2012
By Fate
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As soon as I picked this Urban Fantasy up I was glued to my kindle until I finished it. The story takes place in the same crazy world as Demonspawn. While Kevin is no Alex, our protagonist is still pretty awesome and watching his romance develop with the strong-willed love interest was pretty entertaining.

Kevin is a witch, meaning everyone in the supernatural community wants him dead. He'll have to learn about his powers at a breakneck speed if he wants to survive and protect those he cares about. He'll make allies and enemies and save the day more than once. It's a wild ride from start to finish, and the ending wasn't disappointing in the least.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Witch to Live - A magic tale from Mr. Bullion March 9, 2012

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was very happy to find a new book by Glenn Bullion and even happier to see some characters from an earlier work were along for the ride in this book. And a good ride it is, too. Kevin Mishnar believes he is a normal person, except he can heal himself and others with water. Orphaned very early and also loosing his adoptive parents in his teens, he and his sister develop a very close relationship, to the point that both have few friends. That changes when Kevin meets up with Rachel, a girl that he healed in the first grade after she fell out of a tree. As their relationship develops and his power becomes more evident, it is revealed that he is far more than just a healer, he is a witch! Unfortunately, the rest of the supernatural world fears witches because of the vast power they control. How he wins over Vampire Victoria and the rest makes for a very interesting story.

I very much enjoy Mr. Bullion's writing style and have read all his other books. I hope to read more about Kevin, Victoria, Rachel and Alex in the very near future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommend March 15, 2012

I had just finished the Demonspawn and really enjoyed it, so decided to read another one of Mr. Bullion's books. I decided on A Witch to Live and I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed it and so highly recommend it. He keep things moving and keeps the reader entertained. I like his writing style and I am looking forward to starting another one of his books. I have already purchased Mind Slide and will start on that one next. I did notice that Dead living is not available any longer. I wonder why? If it was available for the Kindle I would grab that one up as well.

I have rarely enjoyed a book as much. but after reading this novel and reading his other two, I have to say I hold them all in equal esteem.Glen Bullion's got some serious chops here folks, and I can't imagine him writing anything I wouldn't snap up and read immediately. I feel like a stalker since I've been checking his site far too regularly, knowing full well that books just don't fall off trees. But I like to stay up on writers I like a lot. An observer couldn't be blamed if it appeared to them as if I believed that by shaking Glen Bullion's website hard enough, I expect a book to fall out eventually. I don't really. But it would be nice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another good read from this author March 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is a very enjoyable expansion of the world of Demonspawn. This is not a direct sequel to that book and introduces new characters Kevin and Rachel though it also contains Victoria from the first book. I found the book somewhat slow at first but the second half really picks up and it has a satisfying conclusion which also ties into Demonspawn. If any more books are written in this particular world I'd be happy to pick them up based on these two stories.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wish I could give this a better rating May 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'll start out by saying I enjoyed this book, I bought it because I loved Demonspawn by the same author. But here is my problem with it, there are too many similarities between the two books. Warning, mild spoilers ahead.
The heroes of the books are both adopted, both love working out and are muscular, both have beautiful blonde sisters, both meet their future love interests after a school yard incident, both go on a road trip with their love interests and find someone that knows about their past, both learn more about their abilities and both learn from the person of the violent death of their birth parents. The inclusion of the vampire, Victoria, just reinforces the feelings of deja vu even though I enjoyed reading about her again.
I enjoyed this book, but I would have enjoyed it more if there hadn't been so many similarities.

It was fun but I think it more for teenagers who are new to reading it reminded me of when I was young and I wanted adventures and a hot girl I so miss that feeling this book brought it back

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, and snarky March 22, 2013
By MLE
Format:Kindle Edition
Some of the most fun reading I've done in quite some time. Kevin is a relatable, and imperfect lead which makes this book that much better in my estimation. I'm so glad that a friend discovered this author, and introduced me to his work. This is the third one I've read, and I just enjoy them more, and more.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very enjoyable quick read
This is probably the book in the series I am least enthusiastic about. There is just not quite enough opposition for the protagonist to overcome. Read more

More About the Author

I live in Maryland with my wonderful wife and three cats. I love gaming, computer technology, movies, and of course, reading and writing. I love science fiction and especially horror. Ghosts, vampires, werewolves, zombies, anything supernatural, all beautiful subjects.

I've been writing since I was twelve years old. There's just something about creating a story that I like. It's always fun to try to come up with something that hasn't been done, or is unique in some way. It's fun to build a character, give him a personality and background.
