Aonghas Crowe's has done magnificent work composing this interesting story which gives readers a view of Japanese society and often sexuality in Japanese society. The protagonist, Peador's lost love, his twisted professional life and love life and his search for love in japanese society, gives a very nice plot.

Overall, a splendid story with an impressive description of human emotions. I would strongly recommend to read the story,

With evocative, funny, and heart-rending prose, the author takes us on a journey through the romantic adventures of a foreigner during his first years in Japan. The main character, Peador, not only struggles with Japanese language and culture, but with the unwritten rules of romance and break-up in this "honne" (real face) and "tatemae" (hidden face) nation. Peador's break-up with Mie, the love of his life, leads him into a series of dalliances in which he hopes to experience feelings similar to those he had for Mie. Will he be successful?

I finally splurged and got the kindle and I have read both of Crowe's works. Only took a few days to finish, absolutely loved them both. I couldn't put them down, and that's a real compliment because I'm not an avid reader! I'm already looking forward to his next book.
