Well done Mr. Williams you are a talented writer, who has managed to create a thoroughly entertaining story, filled with characters that I have fallen in love with. I found myself sharing the adventure, not wanting it to end. You took me and introduced me into the Ellie's and Scruff's life of searching and trusting, of loving and learning. I had a hard time putting the book down, especially when Minotella was ever around. I simply could not get enough of her and her words of wisdom. Your words painted vivid pictures. Like an artist would use a brush on canvas, you mastered the art of creating images in the story that pulled on my emotions. To be able to write with such passion, to create such memorable friends and leave me wanting more of their life's story, is worth far more than five stars. I look forward to reading more of your books and can only hope that Minotella finds her way back into a future story.

A Slow Return to Skinny Dipping: Author Tom Williams

Ellen Jackson buries herself in her job making sure that her patients receive the best care. When other girls go out on dates, she reads books and articles in her field. Reading up on clinical data for treatments of burns and upper extremity injuries was her way of making sure justice was served to her patients and she was going that extra mile doing her job. With an efficient assistant her workload should have been lightened and her schedule created in order to free her time up for other things. But, Ellen's assistant was really not concerned about her job but used her position for her own purposes and benefitted from the perks of just knowing her boss. Seven years after passing her OT exam she decided to open her own clinic. Hiring therapists in the field of speech, physical and occupational therapy she provided outstanding help for her patients yet she felt unfulfilled and not satisfied with all that she accomplished or was doing. Ellen was always looking for ways to help and benefit others. But, what about Ellen? She even developed her own clothing line and sewed her own clothes. Earning a lot of money from her line, she opened a spa in the city. Everything she did was to help people relax, heal and live life in a calmer and more serene way. So, why was she never satisfied with all of her accomplishments? Why did she need more?

Ellen was a millionaire many times over. Her home did not reflect that nor did her style. People demanded her time. People wanted her ideas. People wanted her brand. People wanted to make money off of her. But, did anyone really care about Ellen? Did Ellen care about Ellen or just being needed by others?

Mr. Williams has given us a real page-turner with his first book! Once you meet Ellie you know how badly she needs to get to the beach, get her feet in the sand and meet someone who takes her breath away. And he does! It all happens at a fast pace and you can't wait for more. Very hard to put this book down! I highly recommend it to all who could use a little sand between your toes, warm sunshine and a little "skinny dipping"! Buy it today!

Ellen was growing tired of the self-centered people who profited greatly from her in general.

Ellen Jackson was a self-made woman. Starting back in the Virginia Mountains as a young girl she learned lessons from her Granny about helping others and supporting oneself. She worked hard and had made it to New York running her own business. Even though she is "rich" she saves every dime she makes because she never wants to have to move back to the mountains of her past ... so she thinks.

But then reality hits. Ellen suffers a major panic attack and everything in her world turns upside down. She turns over the day-to-day operations of her gigantic, successful business to her best friend, Missy, for ten days so she can rest. Missy is from Florida and sends Ellen there to stay with her husband.

While in Florida Ellen returns to the nature she once loved as a child, but has totally forgotten as an adult. Walking along the ocean one day she runs into a local fisherman, Scruff Davis, and her life changes for the better.

Not being one to spoil things, I will allow you the reader to experience the rest of this wonderful book yourself. What I will say is, the book conveys a great message of hope, dedication and loyalty. The story will take you on an emotional roller coaster and probably will allow those faint memories lost in the back of your mind to resurface at some time.

This was a nice easy read--put together very well. I felt as though I was right next to the characters and living what they were. I found myself feeling the same thoughts for the people Ellen liked and the ones she hated.
I recommend this book to anyone. I believe the message will resonate with all ages and both genders. Tom Williams has a winner here and I can't wait to read more of his writings.

Author Tom Williams creates a lively story of love, lies, and loss in which the two main characters develop the kind of deep relationship that lovers could only dream about. The dialogue skips and plays as the setting creates images of warmth and nostalgia. Descriptive narration paints unforgettable images of the magical Florida gulf coast.
Ellie, is a strong, smart, and stubborn young woman who, after a shocking breakdown, is ill-prepared for what awaits her as she recuperates in Florida. When she experiences life's unexpected events, she awakens to startling realizations about her own existence. Reading this book reminds me of how our lives can take a sudden dramatic turn, which may reveal fresh perspectives with enlightening results.
Although a light and quick read, the book leaves the reader speculating on life's uncertainty. Tom Williams is a talented and skillful writer whose knowledge of the human condition shines through in this wonderful story.
