This is a must-have book if you enjoy poetry or children's literature. It is filled with unique forgotten poems of nature, adventure, imagination, wonderment. There are a good number of illustrated color plates beautiful enough to frame. This book is not your typical children's poem book found today--it has poems that are hard to find, and when I read it, I wonder why I don't see it in print today, because it is so beautiful. The book is beautiful both for the poetry as well as the illustrations. It has a beautiful color plate on the front (see photos). This is one of those books that you will want to keep on your shelf and pick up to read over and over again. It will fill your mind with good thoughts and take your mind away from the troubles of today. It's a book I won't be parting with.
