Small enough to be mounted on a photo tripod for casual astro/terrestrial observing, the scope also works great with the Sphinx mount onthe table top stand. At less than 11" with dew shield in stored position, the Vixen A80SS is the ultimate grab-n-go travel scope! The large 60mm drawtube comes with a robust 2" eyepiece adapter for wide-field eyepieces. Works great with any Vixen equatorial or alt-az mount including heavy-duty photo tripods.
