Too much interfernce,

I tried to hook up and ipod and aftermarket Sirius receiver. If only one of the two are connected the sound is AMAZING!!! I was so tired of the awful audio from my sirius using the FM modulator and this definitely gave me digital/CD quality sound from the ipod OR sirius through the factory radio. But as soon as I installed the ipod into the other aux jack there was noticeable interfernce on the sirus. On music channels it wasn't as noticeable but on a talk station it was just as bad as listening to it on the FM modulator.

Was a skeptic before buying this - thinking it was going to be a pain to install on my wife's '05 Altima....but let me tell you, it couldn't have been easier. And let me tell ya, the sound quality is great - the wife LOVES being able to just plug her ipod in without the hassle of those POS FM transmitters that sound terrible.
I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone if you want to make your car have an aux. input for and ipod/iphone/any mp3 player - its great!!!!

I used this to connect my IPhone to my 2004 Nissan Murano. Easy to connect and worked just like it's supposed to work. Be careful when taking apart your console and get internet directions for taking it apart correctly or you might break soemthing. I forgot to place a towel on my console to put between the radio that came out of the dash and the console and, sure enough, got the console plastic all scratched up from doing this. Also, use an electric line filter to clear up static from the engine to the 12-volt connection. I didn't and now have a slight whine at high volume. You still need an RCA to IPnone adapter to connect the IPhone to this unit as it just has RCA out jacks.

Bought this audio input to add two auxilary audio ports to my 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. The box comes with the necessary cables to plug right into the back of the stock radio. I used one input for a hard wired Sirius satellite radio unit, and connected the other to a 3.5mm jack I installed in one of the punchouts on the dash to give me the option to connect an MP3 player or smartphone to the radio. This setup works very well.
As for sound quality, it's about as good as you'll get out of the stock head unit & speakers (which aren't that great to begin with). And regarding steering wheel controls, your current controls will work for switching inputs and changing volume as normal. Pretty much a seamless installation!

unacceptable for something of this price to last me a year and a half and just quit, and now stuck with proprietary crummy head unit with no acceptable way to AUX in for my nissan. when it worked it was ok but had engine whine. had tried many fm transmitters which were all terrible. so what, trading the car in anyway, and that will solve my aux in problem. maybe if this thing had been thirty bucks or so like a wired fm transmitter it would be ok, but not for one hundred.

Works great, but has a little whine,

So the sound quality of this compared to the cassette adapter I was using before (and the FM transmitter before that) is excellent. However I do have a little bit of a whine when I have the volume turned up above "20" on my G35. I also get a little bit of distortion with louder musci, but I would attribute that to the fact that I have to use the headphone out jack on my iPod as the controller I am using (Harmon Kardon Drive+Play) has horrible audio quality. I think I need to find a way to split the iPod dock connector so that control goes to the HK and audio goes to the PAC.
Installation was straightforward - it took more time getting panels off and taking the stereo out than wiring up the PAC. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to keep the factory head-unit but get decent sound from and iPod.

Success! I installed this in my 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R with Bose 6 CD Changer (no satellite service). Installation was relatively easy. I used an online guide on how to remove my stereo head unit and used the instructions that came with the auxiliary input for the rest of the installation. So far, everything works like a charm. I can't change songs with steering wheel controls but I can control the volume. Long story short, my car can now play music from my iPod or iPhone and it only costed about $80!

Have the factory 6 disc bose unit without nav, works great just pulled dash pieces off, all held on with just clips, then just clicked in the unit and plugged in my belkin rca adapter. Great sound wayyyy better then any fm modulator crap thats out there.

Installed in my 2005 Altima with factory Bose stereo with no problems. I was worried because I saw another reviewer with my setup had been unable to get it to work, but for this price I figured it would be worth a try. Shipping was extremely fast. Installation was very easy, and the sound quality is 1000% better than one of those FM transmitters. The volume does need to be turned up more than with radio, but I can deal with that.

No good for 2007 Infiniti M35,

Ordered this product after speaking with PAC technical assistance and receiving assurances that this would work in my 2007 Infiniti M35. Well it took a $50 charge from Best Buy's installation team to learn that this information is not accurate. It does not work in the 2007. I will be returning to Amazon.
