About the Author

Susan B. Katz is a National Board Certified Teacher and the founder of Connecting Authors, which brings authors and illustrators into schools, libraries, and museums as role models of literacy and the arts. She lives Mill Valley, California.
 
Alicia Padrón is known for her sweet characters and soft colors. Her artwork is rendered in watercolor and finalized digitally. She lives in Venezuela with her husband and two children.

I bought four copies on a recommendation to give as gifts to new mothers, with one copy to our local library. The reception was so good, I bought 12 more copies. It's a simple alphabetical idea for each page, with a beautiful accompanying soft pastel illustration. I didn't realize until later that it also rhymes! A very nice job by Susan Katz and Alicia Padrón. It not only shows the special connection between parent and baby, but the tiny and ever-expanding world around him or her....parents, grandparents, pets and others who are important to the family. I highly recommend this book.

Just bought my first copy of this wonderful book, and plan to buy more. It is a fabulous book to give as a gift to a new Mom or Grandparent. It's words and pictures are soft and soothing and the rhyme enjoyable to both reader and baby ... the kind of book to read to children over and over again.
I would definitely highly recommend this book to my friends with young children and grandchildren.

Loved the beautiful illustrations that complemented the wonderful ABC rhyming words that provide a superb gift for a mother or grandparent to share with a special child. This book is a very sweet reading children will truly love. I highly recommend this special book.

I checked this book out from the library and my little one loved it so much I had to purchase it. Great read for younger children. Most pages have only 2-4 words each making it perfect for short attention spans. There are also pages that you can act out with your child such as 'hug me' 'kiss me' and 'cuddle me'. This book also has hard cardboard pages to help prevent tearing.
