4.0 out of 5 stars A True Sesame Street Fan
I bought this book for my 16 month old son. He loves The Sesame Street Word book and thought this would be a good addition to his collection. He likes it okay, but still prefers the Word Book hands down. It starts with the alphabet devoting one to two pages per letter. Each page(s) has the letter and pictures of things starting with the letter. It also has the word...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good sized picture book
Pages are big pictures with one word text next to an object. Apple, airplane, bicycle, boat, etc. Nice feature, 2 books in one. 1st half, abc, 2nd half 1,2,3. I wish there were more words for the neglected letters q,u,v,x,y,z. I liked that the pages where completely colored. No blank areas. Good sized book. All the characters show up in the book, plus a few more...

This review is from: ABC and 1,2,3: A Sesame Street Treasury of Words and Numbers (Sesame Street) (Hardcover)
It also has the word naming the picture. I agree with other reviewers..some letters were not depicted very well compared to others. The second half covers numbers 1-20 then skip counts by tens numbers 20-100. All are done with pictures. If you had one book to buy I'd get The Sesame Street Word Book. However if you want to add to other educational books you have, this is a great purchase.

All the characters show up in the book, plus a few more which I liked. There is no set theme or story, just the alpha and numbers. Good for little ones that just are learning objects and pointing to them. I enjoy that with my 19 month old son.

This is a great book for kids who enjoy Sesame street and are learning their numbers and their alphabet. The book is large and colorful and is nice because it covers both letters and numbers. Would recommend to anyone who has a toddler in tow!

This book is loaded with fun pictures that the authors and illustrators creatively designed to include as many words that start with the letter of the page, without being disjointed. The "S" page, for example, features a park scene where various characters are going down the slide, playing on the swings, running through the sprinklers, and even eating a sandwich by a sandbox! Some letter pages have more words than others, but really, how creative can you get with letters like X?! The number section is darling too, and even introduces counting by 10's. My 3 year old loves it, and will definitely continue to grow into it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for your toddler!, February 28, 2000

This review is from: ABC and 1,2,3: A Sesame Street Treasury of Words and Numbers (Sesame Street) (Hardcover)
I bought this book for my 14-month-old nephew and he absolutely loves it! The pages are big, yet simple with lots of stuff for baby to look at. Each page is a full color picture devoted to a letter of the alphabet or a number. Perfect for promoting early learning skills. Given the choice, I'd definitely buy this book again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally from 1-100, September 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: ABC and 1,2,3: A Sesame Street Treasury of Words and Numbers (Sesame Street) (Hardcover)
I go to the the library with my 4 year old every three weeks. When we check out our selection of stories, I always include an ABC alphabet book along with a counting book. I could never find books that counted over the number 10. Very frustrating to demonstrate and teach a child the concept of counting with so many limited number counting books out there. Finally we found this book, that counts from 1-100 step by step. No skipping by 10! When we finally found this book, I checked it out 3 times in a row. I searched online for this book to purchase so we can continue building his counting skills. I was so happy when we found it here on Amazon. Without hesitation I ordered this book to keep in our collection. I am so delighted, that he is now able to count to 100 by memory! I can now share this book with our newest little addition to our family and give her a head start on counting. We need more children's books like this one, that does'nt limit our kids abilities! Thanks so very much!

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic, January 17, 2008
This review is from: ABC and 1,2,3: A Sesame Street Treasury of Words and Numbers (Sesame Street) (Hardcover)
An excellent childrens book but 1 to 100 who are they kidding? What preschooler has that attention span? It is a classic though, and classic childrens books often have higher reading and comprehension levels.

This review is from: ABC and 1,2,3: A Sesame Street Treasury of Words and Numbers (Sesame Street) (Hardcover)
I searched for this book after it was suggested by a friend. I bought it for my daughter, who is almost 2 years old. She loves it! All of her Sesame Street friends are there in bright, colorful pictures to help her learn her ABC's. She actually has learned most of her letters already!
We both thank you!

This is a wonderfully big book. Every page is a different letter or number and the pages are filled with all of the Sesame Street characters. I highly recommend this book if your child loves Sesame Street or is learning the alphabet.
