Harry Smith is an artist, author, jeweler, sculptor and designer. His works are in museums and private collections worldwide. He has had many one man shows, including Coe Kerr Galleries in New York City. He has written and illustrated several books including three children's books. Harry is noted for his intricate three dimensional sterling silver Christmas ornaments and miniatures. His unbelievable detailed pieces of furniture in miniature have been the subject of many books. He has been rated one of America's top traditional craftsman by Early American Life.
Harry lives his art. His studio sits on the side of Mt. Battie overlooking Camden harbor and the coast of Maine. Set on the edge of a state park, he steps out of his studio to sketch moose, deer and birds. Wildflowers from trillium to lady-slippers are only a few steps away. Moxie, his 20 pound Maine coon cat, resides in the studio and has occasionally been a model.
Harry and his wife, Marsha, collaborate on the original designs they do for many nationally known companies. A love and respect of nature is reflected in each of these signature pieces.
