I bought this for my son's 13th birthday. He has really enjoyed it. It survived my seven year old and 19 month old daughters taking it out of his room and playing around with it, so it is pretty durable. I was impressed at some of the things he was able to drive it over without having to pick it up and move it.

I bought this tank a month ago and have been having a lot of fun with it. It completely crushes all of the other remote control toys I have. I was surprised at the slopes it could go over, and am still having fun. However, the battery wears out kinda fast, but all in all it's a great tank.

-Its awesome, but much to be desired.

The tracks come off very often when driving on rough terrain. The manual says to not drive it on anything but a flat surface, but whats the fun in that? With this beast, you will always want to drive on some dirt. It really depends on how rough the terrain is, for the tracks to come off. The problem lies most when turning. This could be easily solved with metal tracks that dont bend as much as the rubber ones that come with this. But sadly, I haven't found anything for this tank. Mostly the bigger tanks.

Another thing about the tracks, is that they do slip a lot when going in reverse. The tracks work like gears, so they can slip. The usually never slip when going forward though.

The radio on this thing is 27.145 MHz. So it can go about only 10-20 feet max. You can extend that a few feet easily by raising the controller. I have gotten it to go pretty far before, but i wasn't at ground level with this. I wish changing the radio is as simple as soldering in a new receiver, but it isn't that simple.

The airsoft gun has a 2-3 second delay when trying to shoot. I would like it to shoot a little faster, but thats not a big deal.

The lights on this only turn on when it is actually moving, depending on whether its going backwards or forwards. That could easily be modded though.

-Now for the good things about this.

It is great when going offroad, disregarding that the tracks come off a bit. I drive this around a construction site near me that was pretty much abandoned, and it drives great. It can pretty much drive over anything it can get a grip onto. It can also go up some steep hills. I drove it up a dirt hill at about 45 degrees, and it had no issue, except i had to turn it straight sometimes.

I've been having fun with this little tank. The cannon is fairly accurate, and it traverses most terrains without trouble. At some point I'm going to upgrade to a 1/16th scale with metal tracks... but for now having fun teasing the dog, and shooting at cans.

All these vendors adevertising "M1A2 ABRAMS IRAQ WAR Tank Rc US Battle Radio Controlled 1/24 Airsof Panzer Marui OEM Version". If you order this you will get a tank that shoots bb, that looks nearly identical to the US Abrams A2 but it wont be the advertised color nor brand. Instead its going to be a version of the described product made in china. The original is made in Japan and is made with superior plastic and molding. The ones you get here is of inferior fit and finish with less parts and brittle plastic.

The one I bought came in the neatest box you ever did see, when I opened the box the first thing saw was the broken sprocket then I saw the the basket sitting on the chassis of the tank and not hanging on the turret like its supposed to. I then notice that the color is camo, which is written on the box. Thought it would be desert like in Iraq. All this is seen without removing it from its package.

I sent an email to the vendor letting them know that the sprocket was broken and that the color wasnt correct and also that it was only Marui like but in fact wasnt Marui. I suppose that explained the price. Anyways I am willing to accept the product given the price if they would fix my sprocket. Its been a few days and I still havent heard back from A-Xheli so I dont know what their stance is on my situation. Hopefully I will atleast get a Tank without broken parts from this transaction.

This is a fantastic, fun RC vehicle! The attention to detail makes this toy a great display model. My son and I have had this toy for less than 3-days and are having a blast with it!!! Considering the price (~$35-$50) this is a fantastic deal for a very good product. I searched ebay and found the same RC tank for around $60.00-$70.00 (including ship+hand). I give this RC tank a big two thumbs up,... WAY UP!

I bought this to drive it through suspended ceilings... yeah, don't ask. It did great.
A lot of other reviews I read here were helpful.
First, it's not the greatest quality. The controller is probably the most obvious. Some of the decorations on the outside were loose... a little glue would fix it. The model is actually pretty accurate to a real Abrams. I didn't expect it to be as good as it is (given the cheap build, you'd think it would be off somehow).
The treads also seem a little flimsy. They have held up so far, but it seems like they could wear out and make the tank pretty useless. Haven't gotten to that point, yet. But I would try to avoid running it on something like rough concrete that would wear it out faster.
The tank is a lot of fun. The treads and wheel suspension give it pretty good handling. It can drive over sizable obstacles.
You can drive, move the turret, and shoot at the same time, which is cool. It also goes fairly fast. Not as fast as an RC car might, but not bad. It also has "boost" mode that goes a little faster. It can turn really fast, though.
It has pretty good torque. I've used it to tow things and it can pull with a good amount of force.
It's not always very responsive. Sometimes it doesn't respond to a command at all. Other times, it doesn't stop when you release the button. The program mode is also confusing, so if you accidentally run a program and the tank starts going crazy, it can be bad. These things aren't huge issues, just things to keep in mind. You can make your own program and play it back, which is a cool feature.
The BB gun works fine. It doesn't shoot as far as my BB pistol, but it's not bad. It can also be inconsistent with accuracy, but it could just be the cheap BBs it comes with.
