5.0 out of 5 stars Great Birthday Gift
I bought this for my son's 13th birthday. He has really enjoyed it. It survived my seven year old and 19 month old daughters taking it out of his room and playing around with it, so it is pretty durable. I was impressed at some of the things he was able to drive it over without having to pick it up and move it.

I bought this tank a month ago and have been having a lot of fun with it. It completely crushes all of the other remote control toys I have. I was surprised at the slopes it could go over, and am still having fun. However, the battery wears out kinda fast, but all in all it's a great tank.

This is a fantastic, fun RC vehicle! The attention to detail makes this toy a great display model. My son and I have had this toy for less than 3-days and are having a blast with it!!! Considering the price (~$35-$50) this is a fantastic deal for a very good product. I searched ebay and found the same RC tank for around $60.00-$70.00 (including ship+hand). I give this RC tank a big two thumbs up,... WAY UP!

My child worked long and hard to earn the money to buy this tank. He is please with the tank as a whole because it works in general but I am not satisfied that he got a good value for his money. First, when we received the tank it was not working properly. When contacted about this the company that we purchased the tank from informed us of how to repair the tank. Their return policy was such that it was more cost effective for us to repair the tank than to attempt an exchange or return. Now even though we have not had the tank more than a month, other parts of the tank are starting to (disintegrate) show ware and tear of a much older item. I don't know if we just got an older model suffering from (dry rot) having been in storage too long or if it is the product itself that was not well constructed. One thing I can say is that I am very disappointed in the purchase and regret that I did not purchase the item locally where I could return/exchange it without hassle. I doubt that I will purchase another item from either the company that sold the tank or the company that manufactured the tank as it has not demonstrated that it either durable and/or worth the monetary value.M1A2 ABRAMS Iraq War Tank RC US Battle Tank Radio Controlled 1/24 Airsoft Panzer Marui OEM version

I've been having fun with this little tank. The cannon is fairly accurate, and it traverses most terrains without trouble. At some point I'm going to upgrade to a 1/16th scale with metal tracks... but for now having fun teasing the dog, and shooting at cans.

First I'll start with the good:
This tanks shoots bb's really good, in fact its close to a red rider bb gun.
This tank also lights up and and is pretty manuverable.

Now the bad:
When I first got the tank and took it out of the box, the tracks were fairly dirty.
I ddint think much of it, and when I went to drive it on my carpet the tracks fell off.
Ever since I have first used it the tracks never stay on. Drive it on the carpet for a
few seconds and I have to fix the tracks. It is super annoying and a piece of crap.

I gave the tank to my son for Christmas and in just under 2 days the antenna on the remote broke off and cracked the circuit board inside leaving us with a useless RC toy. The solder on the battery terminal also came off and I had to resolder the connection. I understand that kids can be rough on toys but this is ridiculous. It's a cool "looking" tank but if you expect to actually play with it, beware, IT IS JUNK! I should have known we were in for trouble when the instructions were printed mainly in Chinese. I wrote a note to the seller but they have yet to respond.

It was a lemon, and I had a lot of hassle to get an Return Authorization.
It just did not work, I have 2 other tanks by other manufacturers, and they work nicely, Thank you.

All in all a fun toy tank. There were a few quality control issues though. Many of the decoritive plasic pieces were not properly glued on. It will not drive in a straight line and there is no trim to correct this. Treads come off track easily

See below for the original problem. I sent a copy of this gripe to the supplier, and they immediately solved my problem. The manual is indeed wrong. The hatch that covers the cannon actuator switch is also the loading hatch. It does not look like it, but there is a tiny slot on the bottom of the hatch wall (where it meets the floor of the switch mount) that allows the BB's to roll into the ammo bay. Being a mechanic, I didn't want to jam the turret mechanism, and the slot looked too small. Anyway, all's well that ends well... and the cannon shoots great. Five stars for the tank and the seller, one star for the instruction manual.
*************************************************************************************************
I got this toy yesterday...... As a mechanic, I skipped the directions to get it running. Put the batteries in and tried it out. Very herky/jerky and ran into the walls a lot. After a while, I decided to try the cannon. I looked in vain for the BB hatch (on top of the turret). In desperation, I took out the instruction booklet, and went to the "Load BB," page. The illustration does not match the Abrams that I got. There is nothing in the loading picture that comes close to the top of what my tank looks like, or for that matter what all the rest of the instruction book's photo look like.

It shows a loading hatch that opens, with an pen tube under the hatch. I have two hatches that open. One is for the tank commander, and has a solid floor with a tiny square hole that the guy plugs into. Then, the hatch next to the main hatch has the slide switch that turns on the cannon firing circuit. The only other, movable thing is a sighting turret that rotates. I pried that off the top and there is only one tiny hole that the turret plugs into.

I searched for an hour or more, and cannot find the mythical BB hatch.

In conclusion... I believe they sent me the wrong tank, or I have just lost all my mechanics skills. No one else complained about this, so something stinks here. As for the performance issues.... I can live with them. I'm going to send a copy of this review to the vendor, and will get back to you with the results. (Note: see the first paragraph for the final explanation).
