AC Adapter It says there is a jack for an optional ac adapter. Where can I get an ac adapter? There are so many choices for adapters, you'd think they would give the option right here on this page to order one that will fit. Anyone have any info on this?

Even with the voltage and amps (as above), you need to know what SIZE the adaptor is, and I couldn't find that info online. Your best bet is to buy a variable adapter such as PowerLine 600mA Universal AC Adapter with Compatibility Tips 90303 (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

The size tip is NOT related to the number of volts. It is independent.

One of the responses to your question indicated using a baby monitor adaptor. I had one handy, tried it, and it worked. It was Fisher Price.

Did a Google search and found a Yahoo answer that seems to point to a product sold here: Hosa Cable ACD477 Universal AC Power Supply
It seems to be specifically for small electronics.

the "6 volts, 450 mA" is written on the bottom of the Rainbow light. But when I went to Radio Shack to try to buy one , none of their "adaptable tips" fits the hole on the side of the light.

I was just wondering the same thing and did a quick Google search. I found this information on the FAQ page for Uncle Milton, which makes the rainbow (http://unclemilton.com/support/faq/rainbow_in_my_room/):

If I wish to purchase an AC adapter for my Rainbow in My Room, what specs will I need to follow?
For US and Canada use:
100 to 220 Volts AC, 60 Hz. Output 6 Volts DC, 450 mA
For Europe and Australia use:
220 to 240 Volts AC, 50 Hz. Output 6 Volts DC, 450 mA
